The worst Super 8 I’ve ever stayed at. Outdated, dingy, dirty, smelly. Couldn’t understand the reception desk worker. Not friendly and my husband who eats anything said breakfast was terrible.

Excellent location for people who like Starbucks

Pros: The television, and the location.
Cons: They need manners from the staff with a service mentality. They need to keep the guests safe and not intimidated by the male residents.
Location: Shopping, restaurants, state capitol, heritage center, parks that are outdoor.
The hotel has a nice appearance inside and out and was clean. There are people who must actually live in this hotel and pay a weekly rate. The parking lot was full of people from Arkansas, Oklahoma, and other southern states. There was a man that were standing idle around the lobby with shabby work clothing on, he was staring at the guests. Another work truck that was written on in Spanish and looked to be full of male workers who didn't speak English and were intimidating. He rather scared me and I didn't know what to make of it. Then I noticed that most of the guests were men, like work men. IT may be that they were from the oil fields and were not employed or were on off time. There was one guy who came in drunk and offered my 6 year old grandson a beer. The breakfast was made for you, waffles, and sausage. Pump your own syrup, coffee, or juice. The room you ate breakfast in was also full of men, with only the one woman cook. The television was nice in the room, it has a microwave, a fridge, and desk. The bed was comfortable, the furniture was fairly new. No odors or noise, it was quiet through the night. The staff was stand-offish and did not ask me if there was anything that I needed. If I asked for something they kept saying call and ask your "travel company" or "no." It felt like they were too busy to be bothered and sighed a great deal. Maybe I should have tipped them for the extra pillow?

Rate hike

My brother in law and sister inlaw were in Bismarck for a graduation celebration. They had rooms reserved at a discount price and just for trying to swap rooms they canceled there rates and charged them *$ more per night. No reason given except that they were welcome to try to get rooms somewhere else. Soft ball games in town that weekend.
