"This was my second time to stay @ The Inn @ St. John. Loved the Inn, situated near the Old Port seaside. Easy to get to & close enough to all the restaurants sea-side. I recommend the High Roller for cocktails and lobster rolls. The Inn is located close to Interstate, for easy access and decorated in mostly French Provencial, w/lamps lace curtains, etc. I had a Queen bed located on 2nd floor, w/private bath situated in the hall away, accessed by my key. Located in an older area but safe enough, w/small parking lot but accessible. My room was extremely clean, as was the bathroom. Bed was comfortable, w/higher thread count sheets and thick bath towels. Very quiet. Stairs were steep, presented minor inconvenience due to my age. Continental Breakfast was good, i.e., muffins, pastries, cereals, boiled eggs, yogurt, fruit, etc. Good value for price. Would definitely stay there again. My only issue was the young lady at check-in desk. While the gentleman was very helpful and polite, the young lady seemed less customer friendly almost like she was being disturbed. In fact, she appeared to have her head down behind the counter, but popped up as she may have been napping. When I inquired about a map of the Maine Coastal area, she just pointed around corner down a step. The gentleman corrected her, indicated there was a second map as well. She was less interested in helping me. The other employees were diligently working the next morning, taking pride in their cleanliness. "
