Great stay for a night or more, having a working kitchen and table is nice. Room was clean and allowed dogs in the “pet friendly “ rooms (for another $25 that wasn’t mentioned on Travelocity). Sting Rays across the street doesn’t look like much but has great food.
Only one suggestion would be to have black-out curtains in the room as the lights are on all night outside lighting up the room. No curtains just mini-blinds are provided.

Mostly was looking for convenience while traveling farther south. Bed was really comfortable and staff helpful with local dining options

The gentleman who monitored the front desk was extremely rude, and quick to take my money, then proceeds to tell me he has no pet friendly rooms. As I check on the site, I realize I have been charged for the room. I would not stay at this hotel, if it was a free night, due to the rudeness, and unfriendly staff. I do not give bad reviews , but it is deserved, I will. Brenda.

Dog policy not explicit, unfortunate experience
Pros:This is a well maintained motel very conveniently located
Cons:The motel needs to make explicit its policy for travellors travelling with dogs.
We selected this motel because it was dog friendly but we did not know that we needed to ask for a dog friendly room at the time we made the reservation or that tge fee for bringing the dog was twentyfive dollars.
We arrived at dusk in a storm of driving wind and rain and were given a room . We did not bring the dog into the room because we had not paid the fee. The dog would be ok to stay in the car overnight.
After we had m8ved into the room and actually I was already in the shower. Motel management come to the room and asked us to leave. We offered to pay the dog fee,. Theybrefused. And it was necessary for us to drive out and look for another motel.I was flustered by being asked to leave and in our rush to get out, I forgot my toilet kit. The motel emailed us through travelocity about the kit and would send it to our home address for the full fed ex fee.
We are senior citizens and our ability to keep on driving through the dusk and driving rain was I. Question.
We would not recommend this motel to friends. It is a very nice motel but this was a very bad experience.

Thank you for your review. Travelocity has the following posted under Shore Stay Suites... 1. Pets allowed for an extra charge of $25. 2. Specific rooms only. 3. Pet friendly rooms can be requested by contacting the property. I'm very sorry we did not have any pet friendly rooms available when you checked in. If you had contacted us just a couple of hours before check-in we could have arraigned a PF room. Your solution was not acceptable as you stated you wanted to leave your dog in your vehicle overnight in sub-freezing temperatures and a Nor'easter off the coast. This is why we required you to go to a pet friendly hotel 20 minutes up the road. Sorry for the inconvenience, but we love all furry friends and would never allow this to happen.
