First off the staff was friendly I did t know that there are hotels that allow smoking still or I wouldn’t have stayed The room felt gross outdated but you get what you pay for Didn’t feel the safest won't be staying here again

The property is about what you would expect for the price. For some reason two of the female front desk attendants reminded me of guards in a female correctional facility. Downright rude.

This hotel is old, dark and dank.

Pros: Close restaurants
Cons: Poor breakfast
I would not stay at this hotel again. the place is old and they tried to refresh it, but did not do so well.

Econo Lodge- Cedar Rapids, IA

You get what you pay for! Last minute booking for Iowa football game and the last room available (in our price range) near Iowa City. The room was filthy- several cracks in bathroom tile, which were loose; box spring had dark stains, sheets appeared to have been used and were non-fitted. Returned late after check in, finding interesting clientele wondering hallways, complete with loud and undesirable music coming from neighboring room. I’m not a prude and I really get the saying, “you get what you pay for”, but I do expect a clean room. Would not recommend for families.

Enjoyed stay

Have stayed here 3 years in a row. Staff very friendly. Pool was warm. Room was very clean and well kept. We did get the hottub suite, which was very nice. The breakfast has waffles, pastries, donuts, toast, cereal, coffee, oj and milk. Heater in room worked well as temp outside was below zero. This is not the newest hotel in town, but for the price is very clean, well kept up and staff was very friendly. I would stay again, in fact probably will spend another anniversary weekend with my wife next year.

not so much

The pool was out of order, hot tub on the fritz. I got up for breakfast hungry and was still hungry afterward, there was so little selection. Our room was right next to the lobby and front line to all incoming hotel traffic. We didn't open the drapes due to that parking lot view was less than scenic. We stayed here on points and were happy to have a hot tub suite, what a treat! All employees were fantastic. Kudos to their worker bees!

Inexpensive but nice

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It was small and inexpensive, but very nice. Very friendly and helpful staff. Beds were comfortable, room was extremely clean, and it was quiet. We will DEEFINITELY stay here again! Great little motel for the price!!!
