I liked that the place was clean and the staff was helpful, room came with most of the usual items except for no bathtub mat when you step out of the shower for your feet. I also noticed that the anti-slip mat in the tub had a large bubble in it. Worst of all the side door entrance that requires a key card to enter does not close all the way leaving it free for anyone to enter inside the hotel.

Started with check-in. Was told that wasn't able to check-in until 3 (about 45 minutes to go). Clerk allowed us to check in anyway, but was told the room wasn't ready until at least 3. Showed back up at 3:15--new Clerk admonished us for having been given the key to the room early. Ugh. No coffee in the room--was told by Staff that they were out and that they were hoarding it for themselves and other Staff. Exchange going on between two other rooms carried out in to the hallway until about 3 AM. Nothing done to stop it. Trying to catch up on rest now after a terrible night sleeping. Should have known that the ratings were probably Staff rating themselves!

Room was fine. A/C sounded like a truck running in the room. Kept me awake all night. 4 minutes on and 10 off. Just dozed off and it would wake me up again with on cycle. There were reasons I couldn’t switch rooms.

nice hotel close to Monticello

Pros: hotel was clean, and staff was friendly
Cons: the only thing that we didn't care for were the eggs at breakfast. we prefer real eggs and these didn't taste or have the texture of real ones.
hotel is easy enough to find and very close to the places we wanted to visit. there are places to eat nearby and to shop if you want

Great location.

Pros: Location and cleanliness. For the price, it was a great stay.
Location: The location was perfect and Charlottesville is close to many historical sites, UVA and the Southern Living Idea House.
We were visiting Montpelier and Monticello, as well as the University of Virginia and several other sites. It was easy to get on I-64 or Hwy. 29 and get to where we needed to be. The staff was extremely helpful and the facility was very clean.
