Staff was very pleasant, breakfast buffet was good, room was clean, issues with the bathroom included shower door falling off the track, slippery shower floor, no way to turn on the bath exhaust fan - am assuming these issues will be addressed as they are currently in the process of remodeling

Our Hotel Stay

Pros: Clean, temperature control in our rooms, breakfast, staff; It was also great that they had a business room with a printer.
Cons: Maybe more of a variety on the breakfast
Location: The location was great because it was near lots of restaurants, a Wal-mart, and the gas station. It was very convenient to access everything.
We had a very good experience with this hotel. We were checked in quickly. Our room was spacious and clean. It was also nice that there was a pullout bed in the room. It saved us money being able to eat breakfast at the hotel each morning. The staff was friendly, and we were always accomodated if we asked for anything. I would definitely recommend this hotel to other people.

Wallet left in room at check out

When I checked out of my room I didn't realize I left my wallet with all my cash, credit cards, and drivers license behind. After leaving a conference in VA beach... they had it locked in away... everything accounted for!! Thank you!!!

Hate extra Fees

The only thing I hate about this hotel is they charge extra fees just in case you mess up the room or something I hate that. The breakfast isnt all that great it used to be the best

As good as it gets!!!

Pros: Free breakfast, Free Internet, Quiet, super staff
This was my second stay at this hotel. The Staff is excellent, the rooms large and very clean and well equipted. I highly recommend!

X-locals stay here often, pretty good-but getting worn fast.

I grew up in this area & go back to visit family. That's why we are repeat visitors. While this Hampton is the best choice for the immediate area, it may not be for long. It is relatively new. We've stayed in numerous rooms (3-4x's/yr.) and the furniture is showing abuse & tacky repairs are being made-not replacement. "Some" of the front desk staff are friendly, some not. The man in the photo that tends the breakfast most of the time talks bad about people, but is friendly to you, while you are there. He is grumpy, but if you put a tip in his jar he will be nicer. So if you are eating there, put the tip in early. The suites are very roomy. The carpets need a good steam cleaning or something. The bathrooms are pretty clean, but that tile needs to go-it looks dirty, & makes feet dirty when you walk on it -so don't. We've also stayed at County Inn, and Candlewood Suites -this Hampton is still better. Although, they can do better for the prices they charge. I haven't tried Spring Hill yet. All of Tidewater is high crime, so always watch yourself when you are out & park near busy spots & lights.

Great Stay

Great Stay, rooms were newer and very clean. Hotel clerks were very friendly and hotel was close to all my meetings. Would definitly stay again

Business trip

Newer hotel, friendly staff, excellent continental breakfast, fantastic beds, very nice lobby and large screen TV. Near Mall and restaurants. Very relaxing after day long meetings.
