Clean, quiet and comfortable

Room was very cozy. Fridge in the room (#7) was a little noisy and made it hard to sleep. Might want a white noise machine in the room. Would have liked another lock on the door as well although we had no concerns about the security of the area. The room was very clean and relaxing. Shower worked great with no shortage of hot water. We didn't have time to use the in-room fireplace but we wish we had. The property itself was very clean and the running creek was very peaceful and just what we wanted. I do recommend a higher vehicle if you're renting because the sedan we rented was very easy to bottom out on the very steep incline onto the property. If it's at all possible I would highly recommend to the property they level out the slope in the driveway. We could very easily have damaged the underside of the car.

We appreciate you choosing to stay with us and for your feedback. I was actually there when you arrived and saw the car bottom out on the drive way. I repaired the top of the drive way from the built up there from ice and snow. Thank you.

Rustic and cute for relaxation

We arrived in Denver airport and drove about 50 minutes to the cabins. It was a nice drive with views of the mountains. Make sure you shop before getting to Bear Creek, there are no amenities near by. You may want to bring your own coffee or use theirs but it's not great. The cabin was rustic, very rustic but cute. There was one twin bed and a full size in front of the big fireplace. You need to bring your own wood. Don't forget charcoal if you plan to use the bbq outside. Minimal soap and shampoo but the towels are big and comfy. The bathroom is very small and the toilet low. But it has a hot shower and a sink. The kitchenet had what you need, pans, two burner hotplate, toaster and the biggest fridge I've ever seen. The heater worked well because it cold as night. When you are outside, the view is amazing, the creek is nice. The kids can play in it. The patio area is a great place to read a book or have conversation or watch ducks. Like I said, rustic, but worth the trip. Jerry is so nice and helpful. I suppose I have to mention the road noise. During the day it is audible but at night it seemed quiet. It's a nice drive past Bear creek, it's called the 40 mile drive around the area. You can see fosils, a museum, parks, etc.
