Super Cool Place

Cons: Parking
Location: Great location. Absolutely perfect.
Dad with 15 year old son in town for a family reunion. This hotel is simply "cool" - everything about it. The decor, location, staff, etc. Just an awesome experience. The nicest hotel I've ever stayed at was the Intercontinental in Tokyo. This isnt THAT nice; but it is clearly the coolest hotel I've ever stayed at. We arrived (never having stayed in DM) and there was a street festival. People everywhere. Zombie Burger across the street. Big concert at Wells Fargo (Faith Hill/Tim McGraw) but we went to an outdoor concert on the river. "East Village" was really fun and also enjoyed Court Avenue bar district. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Guided us to an Australian breakfast place. Room was clean, modern, and quiet. Rooftop bar was awesome (great views). Only downside is extremely limited parking (not just at the hotel, but the whole East Village). Will specifically look for AC branded hotels for future travels. Highly recommend!
