There was no place nearby to eat at 7pm except a Sinclair gas station. The furniture was worn. The hotel’s shampoo was horrid. There was a large hole in the bathtub with a very poor attempt at patching. If you are able to drive longer/farther, do.

Sufficient for the stay. Lighting was a concern. There was a missing plate on the light switch, so that light wasn’t working. The light by the bed only had one working light bulb. Dim view in the room.

This property was OK. Due to shortage of workers, there was no outside dining in the two restaurants next to the property.

We stayed at this hotel twice. On our first visit, they agreed to change our second floor room to a ground floor room for this visit, but when we got here for the second visit, they said they could not change the room because we had paid through Expedia.

Saturated in cigarette smell

I am a non-smoker, and reserved this room in advance due to the good recommendations online. When I showed up, the smell of cigarettes hit me. The gentleman behind the counter was very friendly, and I got my room key. The room itself was basic, but clean. However, my non-smoking room was also saturated with the smell of cigarettes. I would describe it like the smell of a casino. I couldn't take the smell anymore, so I checked out after two hours. I found a different hotel in Rapid City. The husband/wife behind the counter were very nice and polite, and took down my information, but said they weren't able to issue a refund. They indicated they would contact their boss to see if one could be obtained. I told them that I would be fine either way - I just had to get out of there. I feel like I was duped and wasted my money. I paid for a non-smoking room -- I would think that means it doesn't smell like cigarettes.
