My friend and I did NOT get the 2 bed room that i booked and paid for! Instead we got one bed and a BROKEN sofa bed! When I complained to the beleagured woman at the front desk she offered us a rollaway but it, too, was in poor condition and unusable. My friend ended up having to sleep on the sofa (not the bed part). The blanket that was sent with the rollaway had a hole in it. One of our towels was stained, and the sheets on the bed were hard and scratchy. NOT a comfortable night's sleep and NOT worth $250!! I am asking for a refund!

Good morning Judy,I would like to apologize for your unpleasant stay with us. We do have new ownership and our plans are having new furniture next year. I will be adjusting your rate and giving you 100.00 plus tax off your room night.

We upgraded to an ocean view. So worth it! We loved the hotel but were disappointed that the pool area was shut down.

Still in covid protocol for breakfast which was horrible. Normally I look forward to breakfast at hotels, but not this time. Gross “hot” options that were only available on request. Ended just eating a plain bagel with butter and calling it. The building is old. The restaurant is closed. The pool is closed indefinitely. The floors squeak bad when the person above you moves. Was woken up at 2AM, 4AM, and 6AM by the person above. Not to mention motion in the ocean at 10PM that only lasted a minute or less….

I'm sorry Michael but everyone expects us to be back up and running normally -- despite industry-wide shortages (which WE really see out here on the beach!!) and major staffing shortages. We are sorry you felt our breakfast sandwiches are "gross" as most people do like them -- along with the omelettes we offer and the breakfast bar options. The restaurant was not ours - it was a separate business and went under long before COVID came about as most food facilities here in Ocean Shores cannot sustain full operation all year round! Yes, we are an old building but kept up fairly well compared to most here in Ocean Shores -- but when our hotel was built - construction was different and newer hotels (which you find mostly in Cities) are made with different cross-beams in the flooring which doesn't resound as much -- which is why we have a note in the Expedia reservations about it being NON-sound proof!
