The hotel was very clean. The grab and go hot breakfast was very good and had a large variety. Our bags were ready to go quickly and we took our breakfasts back to our room thus avoiding gatherings of several people. Masks were encouraged and worn by all staff and guests. We felt very safe! The beds were very comfortable!

The check-in clerk was friendly but seemed inconvenienced by the mask required during the Covid pandemic. They put it on when i walked in and immediately removed it when I left. I later saw them without it while walking through the lobby. Other than that the hotel was completely clean and welcoming. The room was very nice and the breakfast was served by a very sanitary conscious server. The bed was very comfortable.

Loved that it had indoor pool and exercise room. Didn’t like that we had to wait in lobby for our 3rd floor room, for an hour and 15 minutes. Someone came in as a walk in and got a room immediately. While we were waiting we wanted water , but the only thing available was for sale. This was very embarrassing because I booked 2 rooms( one for our out of state guests. This didn’t impress them very much. We come to blue hole at least 3xa year and decided to try HIE.

Service and not customer friendly at check in I called day before to ask how to reserve for pet. Answer was “ just tell us at check in”. Upon arrival I was told I should have put in reservation and things would have to be changed on my assigned room. I told the guy I called the day before and asked the question. He rudely said no you must have called some place else that he was working. I said no I called here he continued to argue and I Pulled up my cell to show recent calls and ask I His number there he said rudely he did not know, so I looked on my phone and dialed the call I made the day before and his phone on counter started ringing. I told him yes that’s me. He was still rude and I showed him on my phone the current phone and then the prior day call and time. He then assigned a room and provided a key. The room had not been cleaned so istoid in hall holding my dog and luggage which was not light and after a 10 hour drive while they cleaned room and bath and ran vacuum and replaced towels. They seemed confused that he would have assigned the not ready room because they had worked their way down that hall. I was not going back to desk to deal with his attitude again.

Hotel not up to HI express standards. Large room but old furnishings and king bed not real comfortable. Not good value for the $.

A small town but a must Hotel destination

Pros: It was quite
Cons: Breakfast. Eggs taste really bad
Location: Route 66!!! Auto Museum and Silver Moon Cafe's food is great!!!! Beer and Wine sold!
It's quite and convienent W/E bound 40... or Route 66

Find somewhere. Else to stay

Pros: Nothing at all
Cons: Need better staff that are willing to accommodate guest. Needs better mattress and clean r rooms.
Location: Only one restaurant was open. Just drive the extra 40 miles to the next town. This town is dead .
Tried to upgrade room at this hotel and front desk was unwilling to upgrade. That was real dumb because the place was empty and I would have paid extra to upgrade. The rooms were not clean and the stopper in the hotel bath tube was missing . The mattress need to be tossed out.
