This hotel is on the best beach ever. It's the best location if you want to enjoy the sand and water. Pristine water, soft sand, a true paradise.
We stayed in the "Liz" building closer to the beach. The room was GIANT. We were very impressed with the comically high ceilings and ultra comfy bed. There were fans all over (even on the huge balcony) which was also a helpful, classy touch. Air conditioning was great and not super loud.
The restaurant on site and the neighbouring restaurant were a bit expensive for pub fare, but the Manoah makes a good pizza and excellent ribs, so there are some budget options as well. Going off site to other shoal bay restaurants within a quick walk will still have the same service fees tacked on that you find at the hotel. The only other "heads up" is that the room water (as many others noted) doesn't get *that* hot, but it's not a cold shower, albeit not as hot as we're used to at home. Manageable. The room also had some white noise with the waves crashing on the beach right outside the room, plus the fans and AC, and occasional rain sounds on the roof; but if you sleep well with some white noise like we do, it will be absolutely comfortable (other than the "is it raining? It seems louder than a minute ago?" Questions I found myself asking my husband (yes, it was raining).
I'd return in a heartbeat and would encourage anyone looking for a relaxing spot in a beautiful hotel on the perfect beach to do the same.
