The employee working at the front desk at check in (7 pm) was exceptionally welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable. She helped us expedite our check in and gave clear directions on how to get to our room. Overall, it was a good experience. The rooms could use a little updating but other than that, our room was clean, quiet, and fully equipped with all the amenities.

This was probably the most functional hotel room I have ever stayed in. Although my stay was short, I would be completely comfortable booking this location for a longer period of time should the opportunity present itself. Very comfortable bed and pillows!

Candlewood Suites are totally worth it

Our stay at the Candlewood Suites in Somerset, NJ, was lovely. As a lower-price hotel, they delivered a lot of neat amenities that I haven't seen at higher-priced places. Sure, there was no crystalline fountain in a huge lobby... but there were kitchen units (!) in every room, with stovetop, microwave, fridge, freezer, & dishwasher. Typically our stays in hotels require eating out or ordering pizza. Not here. We were able to prepare our own food, which was tastier and also cut down on food costs. A wonderful bargain. The elevator was rather slow, and I was a bit annoyed at the $100 deposit they failed to mention ahead of time, but the money got returned within a week of our checkout, so it wasn't the end of the world. Exercise facility seemed pretty standard. Didn't see a pool/hot tub anywhere, but it was Feb when we stayed, so we weren't in much of a swimming mood. Staff was pleasant, and the room was clean.

comfortable and convinient

Recently stayed at the Candlewood Somerset and found it to be very pleasant and safe. Curteous staff, rooms very nicely appointed,with comfortable bedding, above average toiletries and thick towels. particularly for the price. Very peaceful and quite at night. Hotel is conveniently located off 287 within a 5-6 mile drive of new Brunswick. continental breakfast featured two hot entress along with the usual cold selections. A nice touch was the availability of tea, coffee and juices 24 hrs a day plus afternoon cookies! There is a Ruby Tuesday restaurant right across the street, and many other dining establishments within a 2-3 mile drive. Staff is friendly and attentive at checking in/check out. I would have no problem recommending the facility to others. XYZ, Orlando FL
