I would say there were hits and misses with this hotel. The communication btw the hotel and guests could have been better. Ive stayed at other riveria maya hotels that have a gueat service person meet with you when you check in, to give you a run down of the hotel. And that made me feel much more ready to enjoy my vacation from the get go. So that could have been better. Food and drinks were def hit and miss as well. We really loves dinners at maiko, dolce vita, tequila. We ate at maiko twice and it was absolutely delicious! Lota of good fresh sushi (and we arent normally seafood people, but we love sushi grade tuna- and their tuna nigiri was fantastic). The tonkatsu porkbelly was so great too! Now, we did have a few unfortunate food situations... we had dinner at cozumel one night and it took us about 30-40mins to get our drink order taken, and from their the service and food went down hill... which led us to ordering room swrvice later. BUT, on the otherhand, the mexican food at Tequila was fantastic! The best mexican food we had while at the resort. Now- the staff and bartenders around the resort and at most of the restaurants were wonderful! We really enjoyed enteracting with so many of them! They def make the stay worth it! The bedrooms and the beds themselves leaved a little to be desired. The beds werent the most confortable and the lack of bedding felt off to me, but oh well. Overall we enjoyed our stay and the pools and staff! Might be back, but stay at tulum or sian

The hotel had a variety of events taking place during the day e.g. foam party at the pool, Zumba dancing etc. There was a variety of food dishes and the waiters were fantastic ensuring you were looked after. The hotel was assessable in all areas for wheelchair users. Brilliant location by the beach.

I feel there is a few things to note on this resort. First the grounds are beautiful! Well maintained and beautifully designed. The Spa and staff are absolutely amazing. Truly my husband and I had the best massages of our lives. The food at the Seafood restaurant was beyond offal of 4 people no one finished anything or even ate more than a bite of anything but desert. The remaining meals were good. Katok and Tortuga was very good. The buffet at the main lobby has great selection. The snack bar was offal. However, the staff there was great during the day. I feel our room was good in the Adult only portion of the resort but the room my in-laws got with the Ocean view left a bit to be desired. It smelled of Mildew and actually had mold in the tub. The staff however was very quick to respond to concerns. Our AC was not working well and was fixed within two hours. Overall I say the resort was nice. I would not say 5 star but nice the staff really was great.
