"We stayed at the Athena for 8 nights and it was perfect for our needs. The room was clean and comfortable, the front desk is staffed 24/7, and all the staff are friendly and helpful. We ate breakfast onsite a couple of days. It was a good value and offered more options than you generally get for a Europeans breakfast. This hotel was priced very reasonably compared to others in the area, and we were pleasantly surprised about how nice it was. The location near Paddington station can’t be beat. It is quick to get to Heathrow and anywhere in the city. There are also a lot of restaurants, shops and pubs nearby. It is only a few minutes walk to the station or to Hyde Park. Our stay was wonderful!"

"We had hoped for a room with a bathtub and a pretty view and that is exactly what we had, and more!! Everyone was so helpful at the front desk: they helped us get a cab to the airport the next day, they held our luggage while we ate breakfast, they were so friendly in very real ways. Wonderful!!"
