Room was nice and clean, lack of housekeeping for Covid kind of sucks. Bagged breakfast was not very good and no milk or juice, just water was lacking.

We stayed at your Best Western Plus in Ark City Kansas on Dec 21-23. On our first night there sometime after midnight after getting all our stuff ready to attend a funeral Saturday morning as we went to lay down we found a roach laying on one of the pillows. Totally freaked out my husband hit it and we scoped it up in a cup. We turned all the lights back on went to grab my phone and saw 2 more on the night stand. Extremely grossed out I went to the front desk. The guy gave us a new room on another floor, we had to move all our stuff plus our 2 sleeping children to a new room. After moving everything we finally got to lay down for bed after 2:00am. But unfortunately with the thoughts running through my mind of seeing the roaches I did not sleep at all that night. Then on Saturday while sleeping we were awaken by a whistling/howling sound coming from our vent we had to turn the heat off to make the sound go away. Worst hotel experience ever.

Kim, we are extremely sorry about the experience you had this weekend. We have our rooms sprayed for pests often and there should not have been any type of bug in your room. Thank you for bringing this to our attention, we will have a pest control specialists here to take care of that room as soon as possible. We do allow pets, but it is within our pet policy that they are not to be disturbing other guests, that is something you should not have experienced either. Again, we are very sorry you did not have a good experience, we strive to provide a clean and excellent hotel experience and are not satisfied when we hear otherwise. I know we have been in contact with you to first apologize, take ownership of the issue and we have refunded your entire stay. We hope you considering giving us another chance to offer your family a superior stay.

Nice hotel. Close to town.
Pros:The staff was very friendly and even though we didnt need any help. You could tell that everyone was eager to answer any questions you may have.
Cons:If I had a complaint, and its not really a complaint. The room cleaning crew seemed to get to our door early. 9am each morning.
Location:Nice open country side. We were in town to visit family. Its a great place to go to just get away from the bigger cities.
My son and I visit once a year for the local car show and to visit my mother. Last year we stayed in a hotel that I remembered being very nice growing up. Well, time has not been good to that hotel. So I wanted to find something else.
I chose this hotel from the reviews it had received, but I wasnt expecting much. But really, it was the perfect little hotel, and probably nicer than most in its price range. The staff was excellent from the time we checked in until the time we checked out. Very friendly.
The cleaning crew comes by a little early, or earlier than I expected. About 9am. It wasnt a problem, but my son wasnt quite up at that time (of course I had already made two trips to the free breakfast for coffee by that time).
But nothing that putting the do not disturb sign on the door doesnt fix.
Like I said, we visit the area at least once a year. And I wont hesitate to book another room at this hotel.
