Out on Au Gres Point, you are miles away from the daily grind, where you can naturally decompress from the chaos of our day-to-day lives. Enjoy the waterfront view of Lake Huron/Saginaw Bay, part of Michigan's Great Up North. You will be surrounded by an abundance of Lake Huron wildlife, including deer, eagles, waterfowl, Great Egrets, a varity of woodpeckers, etc., it's all here. The sunrises are simply amazing, and the sunsets cast a such a beautiful glow over the lake.
Down at the water, you can enjoy a bonfire while listening to the sounds of the waves washing up on the shore. Inside, you can appreciate the clean and comfortable accommodations, ensuring a relaxing time streaming movies in the living room or simply gazing out at the lake. The kitchen is well-appointed with granite counter tops and pretty much everything you need to prepare a snack to a large meal, it is all there. A gas 7 burner stove with a convection oven with a overhead microwave.
In the spring and summer, a Weber propane gas grill is available for an outdoor barbecuing.
It is the perfect cottage to experience complete tranquility and relaxation. The surrounding area is ideal for long, quiet walks where everybody waves and says hello, even the neighborhood deer. In the spring and summer, this cottage is just a short walk from the Arenac County lakefront Campground. So, if you have a large group of friends who want to meet for the day, a reunion, or a large family event, there is plenty of camping capacity available nearby. Just down the road is the Point AuGres Nature Lookout Nature part of the Au Gres Delta Nature Preserve, you can walk the wooden trail (bridge) out into the heart of this nature preserve. Take a folding chair and a camera, stay a while, start naming the birds.
