Excellent location. Front desk staff were great. Water pressure was bad and the water had an odd odor ( might be an Austin this). Room was mostly clean when checking in. Bar service could be better. While sitting solo at the bar with an empty glass I was looked over several times even after eye contact was made and they looked at my empty glass. Probably better to get a table with a server.

I very much enjoyed a 4 night stay here over New Year’s Day weekend. It’s a little quirky with 2 hotels in one shared building and check in on the 2nd floor but it’s a terrific hotel. I had a well appointed, very clean room on an upper floor with a great city view. Very good mattress, shower, etc. The restaurant and bar are excellent. Staff is friendly and efficient. The exercise room is fairly large, very clean, and equipment new. Location is absolutely prime to 6th St, the Capitol, downtown, etc. While it’s a chain and part of the Marriott family, it has the feel, spirit and individuality of a boutique hotel. It’s a good value for the price. Even though I’m a regular Marriott traveler with certain discounts, the Expedia rate was lower in my case than booking direct.. I would stay here again for sure.
