"What a gem of a hotel this was. We were so surprised being that it is located in Bakersfield (not notoriously known for nice accommodations). This was a very high-end boutique property with gourmet food (served via room service during covid). Apparently there is an up-and coming chef that is trying to make his mark there and the quality of the fool, presentation and style was off the charts. Totally unexpected! The room (Hed Hancho suite) was very clean, spacious and recently updated with high quality products in the bathroom. It was a room I'd expect to see in a swanky San Francisco hotel or in West Hollywood. The service was wonderful. The staff was very courteous and couldn't ask enough about what else they could do to make our stay nice. To cap it all off...the room rate was super reasonable. I think the entire bill including gourmet dinner came in around $300. Well worth the stay - we will be back!"
