The main lobby was what I expected of an old grand hotel. Elaborate and beautiful, but the suite was sparse and underwhelming. We could not check in until past 4p because the room was not ready and we still had to ask for bedding for the sofa bed and the shower had no shampoo or body wash in the dispenser. Parking is only available for 39 of the 50 rooms so we had to park on the street (and there was a homeless camp not far away). Loved being able to just walk to shopping and restaurants - that was my intent when I booked it. But the charm was not enough to entice me to pay to stay there again.

Renovated building, app based entry system, not staffed at night, clean and pleasant, no pool or spa. Convenient downtown location, on-site parking.

The hotel is super clean, right downtown and the lobby is gorgeous. Quiet. And close to everything. Julia, our receptionist, was FANTASTIC!!
