Our stay at Hampton Inn Clinton, Ia

Pros: It was close to business we were there for.
Check-in was normal but when we got to our room there was a bug (Box Elder) on the bed and on the wall. We went to the front desk and told the clerk and ask for another room, which she was reluctant to give us and informed us the bugs were there because of harvesting in the fields and they had just sprayed for them. the second room had no bugs, but there were 10 or 15 on the hallway wall. When we took our shoes off we found the carpet was damp. I have photos on my cell phone if you're interested. the clerk on duty when we checked in and when went back to the desk was not around and the clerk when we checked-out would not look at us even though we were the only ones at the desk. I intend to ask the Hampton Inn or Travelocity for a refund for our stay and we will never use this hotel again. the Hampton Inn has a sign on the desk that if you're not 100% satisfied you don't pay, I don't normally complain but this didn't even ask how our stay was.
