Book a hotel near Columbus Memorial Fountain, Northeast

"Great option for a slightly-cheaper hotel in this neighborhood. The room is definitely on the small side. I picked two twin beds for the cheaper price and didn't realize/notice that they would be bunk beds. Bottom bunk was really the only option to open up and lay out my clothes/suitcase (though there is a small dresser and clothing rack), so this would be a tight squeeze for two adults traveling. Small desk and desk chair was the only place to sit within the room, but the hotel does offer a decent array of communal seating options in the lounge/restaurant area. Room was very clean and teh bathroom was nicely equipped and even included a clothing steamer. Parking arrangements at the nearby mall were convenient and reasonably priced for the area. Hotel staff were all excellent and helpful. Would stay here again!"

"As long as I have meetings at the Convention Center in DC...I will be staying at the Washington Plaza. Wonderful staff and I am always pleased withe my room. The lounge is nice and quaint. And of course an easy walk to my meetings, great restaurants etc..."

"Quality hotel. I’ve stayed here on multiple occasions. Conveniently located near shopping and sightseeing places as well as within walking distance of the train station. The only thing I don’t like is the really soft pillows provide no support and they cause me to toss and turn more often. "

"We stayed at Royal Sonesta for the first time from May 1 - May 4. It was a great experience from the moment we checked in until we left for the airport. First, we got there before 12 noon and they had a room ready for us, which we were grateful for. We stayed in the fourth floor and was very quiet and peaceful. Everyone at the front desk was very friendly. We requested our sheets to be changed the first nigh we were there and it was done without a problem. We also asked for extra bottles of water (very hot in DC) and got them without a problem. They provided us with a water container that we were able to bring home with us, it was very convenient to carry around to refill with water. On the day we left, we slept in a little late and by the time we wanted to get breakfast it was almost check out time (11 AM), however, the young lady at the front desk allowed us to go enjoy our breakfast w/out a problem. We will definitely be booking with them again in the near future. How could I forget to say that it was very convenient, about a block from union station, easy ride from the airport. Lots of places to eat inside union station. Simply enjoyed it :) "

"It was such a quiet, clean place. I would definitely recommend this and hope to come back. They need to state the time of the manager's reception somewhere. We missed it, but we were offered a glass of wine anyway. "
