It was a nice little property close to the south entrance to Grand Canyon. Very convenient.

Judging from the name and the picture we saw in the advertising I thought this place would be out in the country. It’s right downtown on the main drag it’s not very country at all. It’s nice enough but old and very dated. The rooms are small but clean the beds were saggy but OK.

The photos of the place are deceiving.

Pros: Location, easy walk to the downtown, and eating places. Parking close to room.
Cons: better Breakfast and bed mattress would be a good start
Location: The old train to the Grand Canyon is popular, but be warned, you need to book tickets a head of time. They sell out fast, don't expect to buy and ride
First, let me say the staff is very friendly, the place very clean. However, while the photos give the charm of a bed and breakfast, it is just a small motel that is very old. Rooms so small that to get to my bathroom, I have a space of 18 inches from my bed to the bathroom door. I had to walk sideways down the narrow path to get in and out. No closet by the way. The breakfast was continental with some bread, cereal coffee, and juice. The food on the check-in desk with a room of 4ftX5ft only two people could manage at a time. A few tables for sitting outside to eat, or back to the room. The bed springs were so weak, when I sat on the side of the bed to put on my shoes, I nearly slid off. I suppose if nothing else is open motel wise, this place will work, but there were all kinds of places to stay in the area. The price I paid was more than it should have been, but I was thinking more of a B & B so I booked with a higher price. The local police Dept. is catty-cornered from this place. so you can trade off the safety of close police with the police sirens as they handle calls in the night. To be fair, while the place is very old, the place is well kept up maintenance wise.

Grand Value near Grand Canyon

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants
Friendly staff, clean room. Close to Grand Canyon. Town of Williams friendly and open to tourists. If you are thinking of taking the Grand Canyon Railroad to the canyon stay here for a lot less than competing hotels and lodges. Pleasant patio breakfast a plus.
