My absolute favorite London Hotel!

Pros: The warmth of the decor and excellent service. It's elegant and cute all at the same time.
Location: Amazing neighborhood with tons of unique boutiques and restaurants. You feel like you're in the middle of a Harry Potter book.
Everything about this hotel is done right...its central location, the luxurious, old world furnishings and fabrics, mixed in with some contemporary and whimsical decor. The food is excellent and the 2nd floor guests-only library bar and "honesty bar" is such an amazing oasis after a cold, rainy day sightseeing. Imagine a private old English library where you just push a button and a waiter magically arrives to attend to your every wish. Yes it's a real place and it's nestled in this hotel! They were kind enough to upgrade me a category and I had an amazing canopy bed and a small living room area. The room was just gorgeous and posh, without feeling overbearing like some 5 star hotels can. Everything about this property just feels like a warm hug from a rich cool aunt.

Horrible experience, would never stay there ever again

It has been a week today since we got back from a 3 week trip to Europe, we stayed in six different hotels around Europe (Italy, Paris, South of France) and we received the best treatment ever, if a problem came to be during our hotel stays everything was well taken care of . We promised our kids to head up to London for two nights prior to our departure back to LA. The Covent Garden Hotel on Monmouth looks nice the room was nice but the staff awfull. The hotel staff was aware of the air conditioning not working in certain parts of the hotel including our room but did nothing to accommodate us. To our surprise our air conditioning did not work, when we did report our findings to the staff nothing was done to make our stay comfortable, my kids were truly disappointed and we were forced to sleep in a 90 F room all night literally a sauna. Again disappointed we brought up our concerns to the staff the following morning and I was told that everything was fixed and the ac was working. Huge lie the ac was not working and was never fixed, and I was upset, we complained at least 10 more times and finally got the manager who offered a different room with the same horrible conditions. So much for a manager.. Nothing was done to accommodate us not even a free night or an apology. We paid so much for two wonderful nights that turned out to be total nightmares. Never again. In Sorento we stayed at the Hilton( 3-4 stars ) and got way better treatment that the Covent Garden. What a way to ruin our last two nights in Europe, my family and I were quite disappointed to say the least.
