The caretakers of the motel are very welcoming. They were wonderful. We wanted to love this place as we like to got Mackinac at least once every other year. Unfortunately the beds are so stiff it was impossible to get comfortable. So if you like a firm mattress you will be very happy here. Bring your pillow with you if you can. The pillows are an afterthought and provide no support. We woke up feeling sore and groggy from hardly any sleep. It was disappointing because we planned a very active day on the island and needed plenty of rest. Many guests were smoking outside their room which was unpleasant and pungent every time we exited our room.

There are extra pillows available upon request. We also provide every room with an extra pillow in the drawer of the dresser. I am sorry that you did not bring the issue of the smoking to the attention of management, we would have gladly asked the guest if they could find an alternate place to smoke.

This was a clean and well kept unit. No odors or non functioning lights, curtains, plumbing. That’s all we needed!

A clean room in these times is very important to people. Our standards haven't change, we have always had clean rooms. We may not be fancy, but we have things the other motels don't. The sitting area in the back is very relaxing for adults with our two swings. Many people relax in the gazebo and just talk. We also have a clean picnic area that allows you to order out and not wait hours to eat in a restaurant. Thank yo for taking the time to leave us a review.

Love this place! Clean, comfortable rooms and great service. Everything on one level is great for seniors. Quiet setting, yet within walking distance of so much. Staff is so friendly! (And they have the cutest dogs ever!) Can't say enough good things!
