When I got to the property there were Police Detectives walking out. Apparently a guy had beaten a woman half to death and left her for dead. They had a whole hall blocked off for this reason, or so I was told. No rooms were available that they knew of since no one was interested in going to check to see if they were ready (and this is at their designated check-in time). I was told I could cancel my reservation without penalty by the front desk clerk. So I opted to do so and stay with family in town. I even called the automated Reservation Line and it stated that my reservation had been canceled and I was not being charged for said cancelation. When I got my Visa statement I was in fact charged the full amount.

Monroe Trip

I expected a different feel for the property since it was so close to the University. I didn’t feel safe in the area. The hotel was better but the interior pool and hot tub are over sold.

Emergency care

Pros: The rooms were good and clean always!!!
Cons: MANAGEMENT!!! Open up the hotels suites for use, they are great.
Location: The mall, the airport, and the college are very close.
We were there for my mother surgery and recovery. We stay for three weeks because it was clean and comfortable. The management was not pleasant considering the circumstances we had to live under. They were repairing the hotel and didn't allow use of the suites in the hotel. I have stayed there when it was under the Holiday Inn Management. The people in-charge are not management material, and don't know how to talk to people. The workers are unable to do their jobs because of lack of supplies and machines to clean them. We had to wait many times for towels!!!

The place is under repair.

Pros: My room was comfortable!!!
Cons: Your staff needs to be understanding and treat people nice!!!
Location: The location is okay, but it is not good for people to have to live on the back of the hotel by the woods!!!
I had a suite in 2001 and it was a different place. This is sad!!!

Clarion needs updating and management help

When we arrived at almost midnight we were given room key to a room that had no linens on bed and phone unplugged! We went back to front desk snd witnessed another customer that had just had same thing. Then we were told they didn't have any more rooms available parking lot not full by any means) and she couldn't refund our money since we had booked online. Dhe informed me I needed to contact Travelocity. By this time it was beating 1:00 AM and we were tired and angry. It was most difficult to contact Travelocity to speak to a real person so we sat in lobby a while contemplating what to do next.Then clerk said she found us a room but was going to let security go to room and check it out before giving us keys. After what seemed like 30 minutes the security came. Room was presentable so finally we were given a key.

Good value for the price.

Room had a fridge, but no microwave. Could have used more electrical outlets better placed around the room. Check-in/check-out was a breeze. Very ample parking.
