The place is noisy, the staff unwelcoming. You expect to pay more in NYC, but if you're booking a Marriott affiliated brand you'd expect still some of the basics. The hotel or the room has been constructed so anyone can hear anything from other rooms, for me that was every cough of the smoker next door, and every time the stairwell door opens is a loud clatter. What would the door be opened for, why are the staff moving around so much, when they tell you specifically they can't launder or clean the room because of covid restrictions. This and the mask at reception pulled up when you walk up are the only impacts of the pandemic. Maybe I was actually in the quarantine wing. I felt like I was staying in a hospital.

Location and price of the hotel were very good. We needed to be in the neighborhood and the hotel was very well placed.
