What a great little hotel. Totally convenient, just park your car and go (parking is included with your stay which is hard to find). The room far exceeded our expectations, staff was friendly and there is a fun bar/restaurant on the ground level where we enjoyed a nightcap and a few games of pool before turning in for the night. We look forward to staying here gain.

The hotel lobby is under construction( did not know when making reservation). The signage directing you to the temporary lobby was poor. We had to ask 4 people how to get there. The Wyndham 800# told us there was a restaurant. Wrong. It is closed for the winter season. Housekeeping is only for stays longer than 7 days. We were not made aware of this. The property over all is dated and older. It definitely could use an update. Room was clean but old. Great view of the harbor though.

Not worth it.

Pros: The location.
Thank goodness it was only for two nights. We did, however, consider leaving after the first night. There was food on the chair in the bedroom and a puddle of a sticky beverage in front of the tv in the bedroom. The bathroom had a half used roll of toilet paper and no spare rolls. After reporting this to the front desk, the solution was apparently to send up PAPER TOWELS. There was no bath mat so we had to use one of our towels. The air conditioning was awful and the only way to circulate air to the bedroom was through an antiquated fan system. It was very loud and inefficient. Parking was another nightmare. The restaurant and hotel guests shared the spaces and they were very tight and not nearly enough.

Great location, great value for the price.

Pros: Close restaurants
We stayed here for a few nights before the start of the 2010 Newport-Bermuda Yacht Race. Newport was buzzing and we were in the thick of it , but you wouldn't know it: Our room was quiet, comfortable and convenient. We had a great view of the harbor, and an easy walk to anywhere we needed to go.

Girls weekend getaway

Stayed here for our annual girls weekend getaway. We stayed from Thursday to Sunday, got a call on Saturday around noon reminding us we had a room change that day. We were never told at check in that we were going to have a room change two nights in. We were at the beach when we got the call so needless to say we were not to happy at the fact that we were going to have to pack up all of our stuff to move to a new room for one night . I do have to say they were very good and ended up working it out so we could stay in our same room, but if we did not say anything we would of had to move. Be careful when booking here and you may want to ask about the room change in advance.I would hate to see a family of 4 have to pack up all of their stuff for one night. The staff at the hotel were friendly enough but beware of the restaurant H20 located downstairs, the food was horrible and the staff was so disorganized, was the worst experience we had while in Newport....no one was happy in the restaurant. I felt like I was in an episode of Kitchen nightmares, it was horrible!!!!
