Recent Renovations Look Great

Pros: Close restaurants, Quiet
We have stayed at Holiday Lodge around four times. The staff is very nice and courteous. The hotel has been painted and new carpet since our last stay - it looks very nice. Always clean and comfortable.

So-so

Not sure why this place gets such great reviews. If price is your main criteria (and the national chain hotels in Pittsburg ARE ridiculously expensive) then it's OK. However, the rooms are very small, the walls are thin, the floors creak, the heater was rather noisy, there's free WIFI but no handy place to plug in your computer, a frig & microwave in the room but no in-room coffee and the continental breakfast is pretty chintzy. The bed was nothing special. The owner is pleasant and the place was clean. I stay in hotels 25-30 nights a year and I'd rather pay more and get a little luxury.

Stay here - I liked it

The hotel is decent with cheerful friendly staff. The facility is not lush and fancy but for the price, I thought it was a fine place for the evening. I had a double sized bed and the room was a little smaller than in other *;more pricey hotels; that I stayed on the trip. The area looks safe, I didn't notice any cause for alarm or fear personal saftey, but then I wasn't there much. The parking lot is well lit at night. Breakfast was better than other hotels that provide only pastries - there was pastries, milk/juice, cereal and fruit. Some people like a soft or hard bed, to me it doesn't matter and I slept great. The wireless had a strong signal for my room and the climate control worked fine. I would stay at this hotel again if in the area. Having never been to Kansas, I was a little nervous booking a cheap hotel in an unfamiliar city but was certainly pleased with the results.

Fantastic

What a fantastic find. This is the first hotel I have ever stayed at that actually felt more like a bed and breakfast. The manager, who lives on site, made sure our stay was as pleasant as possible. The rooms were kept immaculately clean, and the free breakfasts helped keep us within our budget. If you are travelling anywhere near here, you definitely will want to stay here. It will be the only place I consider on my future visits.

More than Expexted, Paid $49.99, It's worth

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights. We were very pleased. The bed was comfortable, this hotel is perfect. As far as the hotel, the price is great. The rooms were very clean and never had a problem with the customer service/front desk. I am very likely to return to the Holiday Lodge.

Best Place in Pittsburg

I frequently travel to Pittsburg. The new Holiday Lodge located there is the best value in town. The staff pride themselves on providing a warm, clean atmosphere. The rooms are always spotless, and they have a complimentary continental breakfast for the early riser. I enjoy my stays there; it is affordable and pleasant.
