I stayed at this hotel while unexpectedly stranded in the area with car trouble. The proprietor was very helpful and kindly volunteered to drive me to a nearby store to purchase clothes. While the ammenities are basic, they were good value for the price and adequate to my needs.

We didn't end up staying, as we didn't feel comfortable with the area and when we arrived, there were several people in the parking lot shouting and cussing at each other. The lady in the office was very kind and helpful in allowing us to cancel our reservation. We are thankful to her for that!

This was the worst property I have ever stayed at. Dirt everywhere, dried toothpaste in the sink, dirt and hair hanging on pipes under the sink. Toilet paper rolls were used and unraveled sitting on the sink. Water stood in the shower for several minutes. The desk chair had rips and tears in it. It was awful

Decaying hotel. Wall board below the air conditioner was water damaged and covered in mold. Toilet lid was cracked. Perhaps it was because it was Memorial Day weekend, but a number of residents were grilling and playing cornhole games in the parking lot. Possible low income housing site? Either that or long-term migrating workers are holing up there. Coffee at breakfast was extremely weak. Other than that, the price was reasonable and the bed was comfortable.

Less Than What We Expected

Pros: Conveniently located for access to the interstate.
Cons: Cleanliness. Wi Fi. TV reception.
Location: The town of Washington, PA. is a 6 minute drive from the hotel and that's where you'll find the better restaurants. Not sure about other attractions.
We booked for only one night...thankfully. The front desk clerk was nice enough, though not very good with explaining the room rate and details. Our room was in another building across a divided parking lot that was not accessible without driving out onto a fairly busy road, and the spaces were small and difficult to maneuver a large vehicle in order to park. We had a first floor room, which we liked, but it had direct access from the parking lot, no interior corridor. The room was not exactly clean. There were dark cob webs in the corners. The "free" Wi-Fi never worked properly and the flat screen TV, with no HD, didn't receive all the channels listed in the hotels guide. If you just need a bed to sleep in, this place might work, there is some value to be had. But for a few dollars more, I would book another hotel, and enjoy your stay.

Just a place to sleep

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Free Internet
This hotel was nothing special to write home about, IT IS NOT THE PLAZA. With that said, it was very easy to get to, right off the freeway, easy to get back on the freeway also. It's only a few minutes from the Meadows Casino. The lady at check in (i forgot to get her name) was wonderful, they didn't have smoking rooms listed on the net, but when we got there she had one and moved us to it and gave us a cheaper rate :) at check in (so that was a MAJOR plus). She was very helpful and pleasant, i really wish i had gotten her name. The room was your average economy room, nothing special but nothing gross either. And as a truck driver I feel quite qualified to say that, as I have stayed in some real flea bag joints over the years. There is a great donut shop (the coffee was excellent), a McDonalds, Taco Bell and a Bob Evans too just up the hill within walking distance, if your not lazy. There was a little bit of road traffic that you could hear but nothing that would keep you awake at night. check out was super easy. So over all would i go back yep, would i recommend it yep, just remember DON'T EXPECT THE PLAZA, if you want high class don't be cheap pay for high class, if all you need is a bed to crash in this is your place.

Cheapest place to stay this side of a flop house!

Pros: Free Internet
Cons: Nothing close, Noisy, Poor breakfast
America Best Value Inns, at least the ones I stayed at in St. Clairsville, OH & Washington, PA, were at the bottom of the barrel compared to any other hotel chain. In Washington, PA I could smell other's BO on the pillos & bedding. Staff are what you would expect in the tri-state area - gruff, abrupt, non-smiling. I used a chair to brace the door for added security - doors locked but a slight kick would open it. Very thin construction; pray those on the other side of the walls are quiet! No inn room coffee. Electrical outlets were shorted; lightbulbs burned out. Breakfasts - well pretty bad, but hey, what do you expect for the price?
