Wake-up call

Pros: Very well situated

At approximately 8pm the night before I flew to Boston, I called the Hotel operator and left a 3am wake-up call. At 4.45 am I called the front desk and complained that I did not get the wake-up call and was told how sorry they felt but that the operator had not written this down in the wake-up call book. I missed my flight to Boston so I called Delta Airlines and was told that there was a 9:15 flight to Boston but the cost would be $1,000. The next flight was at 11:55 am arriving in Boston at 11:55pm. and would cost $50. All this would not have happened if if I had received my 3am wake-up call. I fault the operator for not writing down my wake-up call and I fault the hotel for not setting in place a procedure that guarantees ALL wake-up calls are properly logged in. This is a very nice hotel and the $150.00 per night cost should live up to their guarantees. This experience leaves a bad taste and needs to be corrected. For many years I was head of a national marketing team and I know what a good exoerience is. Robert B. Jones

Clean and comfy

Pros: Staff was friendly and accommodating.
Cons: Fans in the bathroom.
Location: Lots of restaurants and a beautiful coastline. I was there for a race.
The receptionist was very pleasant. She was quick and efficient, but made time to be friendly and conversational. The room was small but exactly what we needed. We got the handicap room, but did not need those facilities at the time. Unfortunately there was no fan in the bathroom so it did stink up pretty quickly. We hung out and watched tv, the selection of channels was very good and we could easily hook up a laptop to watch netflix. The internet speed was also very good (see watching netflix).

Good hotel for the price

This is a high end Fairfield Inn but Fairfield Inn's are not comparable to most other Marriott Hotels. The breakfast food was average, though the service was wonderful. Internet worked great, rooms were quiet.
