I have stayed at this property many times in the past. I chose it for location and price, accepting the normally run-down condition of the facility as a "cost" of saving money. This stay came after a week of extreme cold and snow and apparently stressed the hotel beyond its capability to adapt. The first room that I was assigned to had no running water in the tub or the toilet. The second room had water in the sink and toilet, but there was only cold water in the shower. Cold showers at negative outside temperatures don't make a happy customer. The somewhat surly greeting by the desk clerk didn't help either.

Staff was very courteous the only problem i had was that i paid for a King Suit that was supposed to have a whirlpool tub in it and it sis not.

We received a phone call at 8:30pm the evening of out stay, as we were on our way to check in, saying that we no longer had a room because they overbooked. No mention of compensation or some gesture to make up for their mistake. Just a “there is nothing I can do.” Not even a proper apology. Literally the worst hotel experience of my life, after having traveled over 12 hours already that day.

This was the best value in town for a one night working stay. It’s away from most attractions, but it suited my needs. I was pleasantly surprised by the size and amenities of the room
