The only thing I thought was a negative and odd that there was no usb ports in our room. Every hotel I have stayed in so far has had this convenience for guests. I did not mention it, so perhaps there were other rooms that had them but only staying one night so it was not a major problem this stay.

When we checked in the girl was fantastic. However we had what sounded like a herd of elephants staying above us and people in room next to us were having some sort of domestic dispute. We had to check out a day early and when I went to the front desk, there was nobody there the phone was taken off the hook and the girl was outside smoking. Walked back in staring at her phone as she walked in, walked behind the counter still looking at her phone and THEN looked up and asked if I needed help. ALSO......don't advertise your breakfast if it's going to be a sack with a muffin, granola bar, and a bottle of water. I understand covid and such but breakfast buffets are open all around the country. If I'm getting a sack lunch for breakfast make that known, don't hide it. You have your coffee area open where people touch everyone, why not the buffett with plastic gloves like every where else? Housekeeping and cleanliness were wonderful. Everything else with exception of the check in girl was a terrible experience!

Staff was extremely kind and pleasant which isnt very common anymore. Rooms were clean. Didnt go to the pool because we were at the beach all day. Breakfast food was great! Could use remodeling and updating of rooms and electricity. Hard to find outlets with a family trying to charge and plug in

Pros: everything
Cons: shower heads bigger..
Location: college visit
front desk man was very nice. late check in and he had our reservation ready to go, just asked what floor we wanted to be on. food a lot of variety, standard fare but you wont go hungry... room very clean. need to update shower sprinklers.. bigger head but adequate for our 1 night stay. bed real comfortable.. i never like hotel pillows too soft for me... but i would stay there again..

Clean, quiet and close to campus

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet
This hotel is just what you would expect from a Holiday Inn Express. Nothing fancy, but clean, quiet, and with a friendly and helpful staff. Being very close to the campus of Valparaiso University means I will definitely be staying there again, when visiting my daughter at Valpo.

Poor housekeeping and noisy!

This hotel had a great location, and a great breakfast. However--it really lacked in the housekeeping department. We stayed for 2 nights. The first night we found a beer bottlecap just beneath the bed where our toddler could have easliy found it. The next day, when we returned to our room, none of the towels or washcloths we had used had been replaced at all--we had to go back down to the front desk for new ones. When we went to fold back the pull out couch, we found used tissues and trash under the sofa bed that had not come from us. Both nights as we were laying bed, you could hear people running or jumping in the room above ours. What I thought was really odd was that after we went down to the front desk to complain about our lack of towels, not 2 minutes after returing to our room we had the front desk calling us to say that there had been a noise complaint for our room! There must be minimal insulation between floors as noisy as it was.
