I stayed with family as one night. When I got the room as traditional room type but view was block as the roof. I was very disappointed so asked to change. One level up was changed by Mr. Mike who was staff kindly. We were happy to stay .

I liked the location. The room was clean. Unfortunately we could hear our neighbour moving hangers in their closet, talking and slamming their door just after 7 AM so some soundproofing would help. The layout of the parkade and lanes made backing up and getting out to be a tricky task when the lot was full. I would stay again.

My wife and I decided to go for a last-minute off season 2 night staycation. We were put in a standard room on the third floor with a view over the roof and rear parking lot. We did mention we were staying two nights and have been regulars at the Chateau Vic for many many years. We requested an upper floor room but were told it was unavailable unless we were willing to pay for an upgrade. Clive’s, their amazing cocktail bar and a favourite destination of ours, was closed for renovations. We didn’t know this at the time of booking. Room itself was clean as were the pool and hot tub areas. Bedding was a bit too “polyestery” for our taste and the housecoats were a bit old and tragic. Front desk staff not super friendly or service oriented. Next visit to Victoria we will be trying out a new hotel.
