Getaway to the Walla Walla Farm

Charming western themed unit located in our barn. Yes, a real barn...cattle and horses on the property of 38 acres. Beautiful location 7 miles west of Walla Walla, but right in the middle of our best wineries. Besides livestock, we have regular visits from deer, turkey, geese, pelicans and occasionally a moose.

Historic Whitman Mission is just down the road. Famous site of the missionary massacre in 1847.

Address is 285 Double River Rd, Walla Walla, WA 99362
Directions-take New Hwy 12 east from Lowden and turn right on Old Hwy 12. Follow the Whitman Mission signs. Turn right on Swegle Road. Cross railroad tracks. Turn right on Double River Road. We are at the end of the road on the left. Turn in at the brick pillars.

Keywords: This classy western style apartment is located on a corner of our barn. Gorgeous views, wildlife galore, minutes from wineries and the Whitman Mission.

Enjoying the Farm!
Very cute, western decor abounds in this farm house home away from home. Large two bedroom accommodations, fully equipped- even with cold bottles water in the fridge. Enjoyed watching the cows come home to feed with the turkeys not far behind. Lovely outside area for relaxing.

Quiet and Comfortable
We had a peaceful and relaxing stay at Walla Walla Farm. Exactly what we were looking for and needed!! We enjoyed watching wild turkeys, cattle, horses, farm cats, and meeting Sage the 180 lb. Mastif! So quiet there!! Also, a big thank you for the bottle of Amavi wine at our door the night before our departure.

Clean and comfortable stay on the farm
We had a great time visiting Walla Wall and enjoyed our stay on the farm. The directions made it easy to find. It's a good location, about 15 minutes from downtown Walla Walla and near a number of wineries. The property is clean and well appointed. We enjoyed watching the cows and turkeys move from pasture to pasture. The beds and pillows were comfortable and we slept well. The couch wasn't very comfortable, it looked like the hide-a-b ed wouldn't lay flat. Probably an easy fix. I would also advise against wearing socks if you're staying in the loft. I took a spill down the stairs, even noting to be very careful and holding the railing, but still slipped anyway. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others.

Amazing hosts
Great place to stay. Close enough to town and wineries close to property. Place is clean, well stocked, comfortable. Hosts go above and beyond to make your stay great. We had a medical equipment issue and can't say enough about how kind they were in helping with this issue!

Awesome stay at the Farm
Wife, friends and I all enjoyed our stay at the Farm immensely. Dan and Karen were great hosts and would recommend to anyone staying in Walla Walla, to stay at the Farm. I would have given it 5-stars across the board but only gave it 4 for cleanliness, c'mon, it's a working farm. The accommodations were very clean.

Amazing Stay in farm country
Dan and Karen were lovely and accommodating to us and our two fur babies. The apartment was just as listed. Their farm was beautiful with the cows, horses and wild turkeys. The apartment was clean, spacious and very relaxing. Just the get away we were hoping for. Thank you for the wonderful stay and the bottle of wine. I would highly recommend that you stay there for the peaceful, rustic feel.

Farm and wine experience
Karen and Dan were wonderful hosts. Overall, we enjoyed our experience with nights in the hot tub star gazing and mornings with coffee on the patio watching the cattle and horses graze. It is truly the experience of living on a working farm as people were about caring for the farm and animals during the week. We had a bit of an issue when we first arrived with the cleaning not being completed in the upstairs quarters, but Karen and Dan responded quickly and took care of it before our friends arrived. They gave great recommendations for restaurants and wineries in the area. We highly recommend three rivers for the views and outdoor atmosphere of cornhole and Jenga not to mention great wine! Do be aware if you are bringing dogs that there were 3 dogs roaming the property off leash and many cats around the barn. The dogs were friendly and we didn’t have any issues except our little dogs are not always dog friendly and definitely chase cats so we had to make sure the area was pet free before taking them out on leash to potty. Overall highly recommend if you love animals and want a beautiful stay on a farm near some great wineries:)
