This was 2nd time at this resort. Last time was 3 years ago. Loved it so much I had to book it again. Love the facilities. So clean and great rooms. Comfortable and beautiful. Love the attractions so close by. My family and I love it!!!

All around Great!

Pros: Excellent condition of facility.
Cons: Put a check-in time on your information page.
Location: Minutes from Colonial Williamsburg, Historical Jamestown and Yorktown and Bush Gardens!
Excellent rooms, great location, wonderful pool for families. Overall great value. Very pleased. Only issue was the request to attend what I perceived to be a time-share sales pitch. I came for a vacation, not a 2-hour briefing.

Williamsburg Vacation

Pros: It was a condo and we all loved it. Accessibility to the parks we were there to visit was minutes away.
Cons: This condo facility should change nothing. Continue doing what you are doing. Absolutely the best.
Location: Busch Gardens, Water Country USA, plenty of restaurants nearby, History of our Country, and so much more. Honestly, 5 days was simply not enough time
The time there was outstanding. The staff is absolutely second to none. Michele was so friendly yet professional. My family was so pleased. I have only one complaint and it was not with the facility. I rented a unit and another family member rented another. Their rate was so much cheaper than mine. Give or take, I was at $250/night and they were at $168/night. Go figure.

Great Stay

We stayed this past weekend and really enjoyed Parkside. All of the rooms have a full kitchen which is nice. Much better than just hotel room when you have kids and the rate was about the same as the hotels we looked at. The cool part is the kids can see the roller coasters at Busch Gardens. There wasn't much to do at the resort if you are staying there all of the time, but we weren't and the location was easy for everything.

Someday this might be a nice resort!

Found this last minute for a 3 day trip to Busch Gardens- good price for 2 bdrm. On the positive it was very convenient to BG and most other stuff. Room was nice for the 6 of us. The shower stall and tub shower in master bath was a plus for 6 people. Other than that I was dissapointed. Especially after now reading previous reviews. Does not seem like much has changed since April or even last yr. The pool was still not open, could access a sister resorts amenities. You still check-in in a room. No reception area. Common areas- walkways were very nasty with trash. Dirty linen was still sitting in the walkways at 530 pm. Room appeared fairly clean. Did have linen for all beds. No blankets. No kitchen trash can-never got one- used the laundry basket. Dvd was not hooked up- but was taken care of shortly after we checked in. And beware- the punch locks sometimes open both doors in the condo/lockout areas. We unlocked the wrong room to start with and scared some folks!!! It may someday be a nice resort/hotel when it is fully up and running with full staff/housekeeping, etc.

This is not a ""hotel"". There is no place to register after 8pm and it is hard to understand what you need to do get into your room. The service at the hotel is terrible. They did not have sheets available for the fold out and it was after midnight (we were all sleeping)when they called to see if we still needed them. It was not until the next night that we got the sheets. They do not replenish the towels so be careful that they do not get dirty; you will need them for your stay. We usually stay at a different hotel when we go to Busch Gardens that cost less than this ""hotel"". We will make sure that we get our reservations early enough that we are not stuck with this one again.

Okay but...

This hotel/condo has some negatives and positives. Positives include a central location as far as going to all Colonial Williamsburg destinations. Having a 2 bedroom place makes a big difference in our family of 5 as well and we felt we got a good price for a condo (cheaper than a hotel). It's easy to get to, close to the interstate and very close to Busch Gardens. There are some negatives however. We didn't have enough towels or sheets for the pull-out sofa and the office closes at 6pm with no attendants on duty thru the night so we were just stuck until morning. It's a fairly new complex so that was good but it had not been cleaned well. There were crumbs on the kitchen counter and even a pill on the bedroom floor. The dvd player had not been hooked up so my husband spent 20 minutes getting it hooked up so we could watch a movie we had rented. There's also nothing within walking distance so even tho it was close to everything, it felt a little remote if that makes sense. REI gave it a gold crown rating, which is it's best but it was not deserved. It was not as good as any gold crown we've stayed in. There was a pool but it wasn't open yet (it's only April) but no other ammenities.

lacking hotel amenities

seems to be a time share renting as a hotel. nice to have two bedrooms, the mattresses were very comfortable. the trains blew whistles all night. floors not vacuumed, trashcans full, soap stunk, no conditioner, no lotion, wifi not operable, beds sloppily made, no housekeeping over the three nights there, no extra toilet paper, doors other than mail entrance were left unlocked, need a recycle trashcan, no shower rug, missing coffee pot (instead of bringing one was asked did i really need it), no pillows for sleeping but when i found some then couldn't find but one pillowcase.

We Passed

Maybe it was the train tracks across the street. Maybe it was the Phillip Morris facility that looked like a prison next door. Maybe it was the police arresting two lads in the front of the hotel - but after sitting in front of the place for about 15 minutes, we abandoned our reservation, and lost our full fare for the room. There was no lobby, but a sign to check at room 400. This is really a small apartment complex, not a hotel. It also was very remote - not far from town, just the surrounding area felt a little erie. Maybe our loss, but we spent a long 5 hour drive and went home instead.
