Solid experience

Pros: Full breakfast
Cons: Coffee.
Location: Historic Williamsburg, Jamestown, Yorktown, Busch Gardens. Plenty to do!
We chose this hotel because the price was very reasonable and we knew we could get a decent, though no-frills, breakfast. We were spending a few days touring the Historic Triangle, and so it is useful to eat a fairly big breakfast and be able to make it through to dinner with just a small snack. Springhill Suites delivered pretty much as expected. It is not a gourmet breakfast but there are the usual options (eggs, make your own waffles, fruit, etc.) that were mostly well stocked. The hotel was quite crowded, so breakfast was easier the mornings that we went down earlier. I do have to say that the coffee was not very good, though I am picky in that regard. Otherwise, the accommodations were generally good: A/C worked, bed was comfortable, Wifi worked, etc.

Very poor suite design

Pros: The free breakfast was pretty good.
Cons: The entire suite design.
Location: It is close to all area attractions and restaurants.
The design of the suite was very poor. There was no door between the living area and the bedroom. When the sofa sleeper was unfolded into a bed, you had to climb over the sofa sleeper to get to the bathroom. Lighting in bedroom was very poor, it consisted of a small lamp between the beds. It also had the cheap air conditioning/ heating unit under the window. This means the person closest to the window was very cold and the person on Sofa Sleeper was warm. The suite was about five feet too short to be a comfortable room. However the free breakfast was pretty good overall.
