Easy and fast check in. Reception area dingy, ceiling tiles discolored. Went to room, smelled clean and looked tidy overall. Desk handle was broken and hanging to the side. Office chair looked like it came from the side of the road, torn up, all the vinyl worn off of it. Sat on one of the two queen beds, immediately sunk in the middle with a loud creak, like the box springs were broken. Bathroom was clean. Room felt very humid/wet. I’ve stayed here a few times before and was happy. Went out of my way to stay here this time and wished I hadn’t. Probably won’t stay here again. Feels like they can’t afford to fix the smallest things like the desk and the torn up chair. It was clean, that was the saving grace.

Excellent customer service, Joe is awesome!! We had to check in a little earlier and he made it possible. Great night ambiance at the Pub and quiet rooms. The breakfast buffet was good with eggs, sausage, breads and biscuits, fruits, oatmeal, gravy, coffee, juice. Very good.

Classic Southern Hospitality

I travel to Albany on a weekly basis and struggled to find accommodations where I felt at home and secure. One of my old classmates suggested that I check out Merry Acres Inn. I am glad I did. They make you feel at home and everyone is so friendly and it is secure. Everybody truly knows you name. It is like the Motel you stayed at when you were a kid. You pull right up to your door. My wife joined me one week as I traveled and I could not pull her away from the oak tree lined pool area. This place is like going back in time. After a busy day of appointments, I don't even have to drive to get dinner. I can order from the Pub or get take out delivered from an assortment of restaurants. Heck, they will shuttle you there as well. They also have something called the City Club where professionals meet. They have a gym to use for an additional fee and a hot buffet is included with the room in their event center. I truly believe the people that run this place have their hand on the heart beat of Albany. You would be crazy not to check it out.

Merry Acers, felt like home away from home

Pros: Free breakfast, Free Internet, Quiet
Customer service was great checking in and checking out.The room was for a smoker I am not a smoker it smell like someone had just checked out smoking. Once i was in the room i open the door to let air inside to clear the air. But over all i enjoyed my stay.

Very comfortable and inviting.

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet
We love the early motel style--park in front of your personal unit with everything on one floor. Walk out the door and into your car. The rooms were very clean and odor free, beds were comfortable, and rooms were very quiet, even though a class reunion was being held on site and we were across from the party room/pool where the action was. Carpet was a little stained up, but other than that it was fine. Staff were very friendly. In addition, a full buffet breakfast that was hot and fresh and very tasty! Wait staff was also very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely stay again.

Old and needs updating

If you are used to clean, modern, and updated facilities I wouldn't stay here. This hotel has outside corridors and the appliances i.e. refrigerator, TV, and air conditioning units are old and outdated. In addtition, the room that I stayed in could also use a good deep cleaning of the carpet and bathroom. The only positive was that the staff was friendly but that doesn't make up for the accomodations.

YMMV- 50/50 chance of Good or Bad!

Originally was placed at a ghetto motel in Albany, so this reservation was made 5:30 the day of. The booking agent/CSR was absolutely a gem and I wish I remembered her name (older lady with glasses and soft voice). She quoted a 59/night rate and we sped over there. Check-in easy and simple!! And she gave me a few tips about the area. Room was clean and what to be expected at 60/nt. We're normally in 3.5-4.5 star hotels/resorts, so this Inn didn't make us do cartwheels, but the accommodations didn't disappoint. BUT the bad part-- About 7:30am the next morning on NEW YEARS DAY, the people next door decided to park their car for45 mins...each time the door banging shut...probably in excess of 20 times within first 20 mins. We thought it go away but didn't. Made a call over to the front desk and the CSR was an absolute grouch. She was very short with only "ok...what do you want me to do" or "i'll only call over there". BTW, we're already awake! I kept my cool thinking hey maybe an apology, etc, but NOPE. Got her name, Celeste, and let her know to just forget about it after she copped an attitude like "what do you want me to do about it". We quickly packed up and on the way out stopped to speak to a Manager. Apparently, Celeste was the only person working and a manager! She had an attitude at this point and absolutely rude to me (which my fiance was quietly present to witness). We were accused of having a dog (which she said the people next door complained of). She even had the audacity to say I was getting angry at her. So I got the GM's card & will handle thru her

recent trip

The room was decent but not for the price. For $*.00 especially in Albany( i lived in albany my whole life) I expected better. There was not enought lighting in the room, it smelled of smoke. The staff was great though friendly helpful. I assumed all rooms were non smoking and was never asked if i wanted smokin or non. Overall it is a decent place but over priced. IF they make the rooms lighter and Update faucets and bedding and paint the walls it will be worth $*.00

The room was very congested (small). We couldn't relax in the room comfortably. The staff was very helful and nice to talk to. The breakfasts were great. It was a little cool in the mornings to go swimming so we didn't experience this activity. We would stay again coming to Georgia.
