Rooms and hallways just not as clean as I remember. Mixed message on masks-sign on door requires masks. When I asked the front desk clerk why she wasn’t wearing one, first she ignored me. I asked again, she said she was too busy for a mask. Great location and parking. Lots of new hotels in the area to try on my next trip.

Room was disgusting, still had hair and semen on the sheets, and urine all over the toilet. Housekeeping had made the bed and the room, at a glance , looked ready. Kids pulled back the top sheet and found the gross surprise. We aren’t talking about stained sheets either… we are talking about DIRTY sheets. Gross… wife and kids… couldn’t sleep at all… they moved our room, but damage was done and we couldn’t stay anyway else because ANC is booked.

When we arrived at 1:30 AM, the room air conditioner was running and the room temperature was 64 degrees. We were able to turn off the air conditioner but unable to turn on the heat. We reported this to the front desk in the morning. We were told someone would fix the problem. This did not happen and we had no air circulation for the three nights of our stay. We also reported the carpet around the air conditioner unit was damp.

Wonderful place

The Crowne Plaza Midtown was everything I expected and more. I will definitely be staying there again. I have not a single complaint. Excellent beds, fantastic breakfast, courteous and helpful employees, very clean, nice pool and hot tub.

Not what I expected.

Pros: was a chain so I felt comfortable selecting it..nice lobby, restaurant on site, nice facilities
Cons: cooling/heating in the rooms should be individually operated
Location: Amazing state with a lot of things to do, restaurants....absolutely beautiful. Go to the information center in town to get all information you need
I had high hopes for the hotel - it is Crowne Plaza after all. The building looked good, close to the airport, guaranteed late arrival... If it was one thing I let it go.. i get over it...but there were a lot of little things that when added up didn't make the stay one i want to repeat. To begin - half of my trip was personal the other half business....they wanted a corporate "permission" form of sorts completed and signed by my employer (what?!) after I said it could be a prepay they checked with a manager and said ok. then since it was technically two reservations I had to change rooms at the end of my personal stay.....one the second day they cleaned the room but didn't replenish the coffee. The restaurant had a breakfast buffet - which i didn't want but after sitting for awhile and not seeing anyone i just decided to help myself....there was ONE person, filling the buffet, taking orders, cleaning off the tables, filling coffee and water. The last area was the comfort of the room....you can't control the unit. there was cool air which on day two or three changed to heat...i couldn't turn it off so I unplugged it. when i was moved to another room it was so warm i opened the window - all 3 inches that it opened....and opened the room door to let cool air in. Next time I go to Anchorage I will definitely pick another hotel.

To many problems to stay there again

They ran my card again mid stay without talking g to me got a rude answer. They left the room open on. The 4th floor to where they stored the flight crews luggage so that anyone else could walk In and look or take what they wanted told the front desk and they argued with us. On the last bill they had a 150 dollar extra charge that I guess Travelocity had to pay but all in all rude staff. So no I will not go back again Norris smith

Great 2 night stay

Pros: I liked everything.
Cons: I didn't think anything needed improvement.
Location: We stayed there so we could take the Phillips Glacier and Wildlife Cruise out of Whittier. There is no good place to stay in Whittier.
This is a newer hotel. The staff was friendly and efficient. My wife and I had a very nice, clean, great-looking room with nice beds and a nice, clean, good - looking bathroom. The A/C was quiet and efficient. It had a wall-mounted thermostat so the room temperature was closely and comfortably controlled. There were plenty of convenient power connections for electronic equipment and the Wi-Fi worked great. There is a restaurant in the hotel. We selected to pay extra in our room rental to include breakfast vouchers at the hotel restaurant. It was well worth it. Not only was it convenient, but it a great buffet breakfast bar. We also at another meal other than breakfast at the restaurant and it was good. We had a very pleasant stay. No complaints.

Good Deal for Summer Travel to Anchorage

Pros: Free Internet, Quiet
I travel to Anchorage frequently on business, and this was my first stay at the Crowne Plaza. I bought a package deal which included a rental car - it was a good price for summer travel in Anchorage. I would stay at the Crowne Plaza again - the staff was helpful & friendly, the hotel is conveniently located to my office, and the food wasn't bad!

Worth the price.

Pros: Free Internet, Quiet
The beds were amazing, the room was clean and neat. The only part not up to the rest was the hot water in the shower never got hot.

Clean environment with very friendly and helpful staff. Good hotel overall but location is not the best. Need a car if planning on spending time in downtown Anchorage or exploring.
