Pleasant stay.

Pros: Comfortable room, friendly staff, WiFi worked well.
Cons: Cleanliness of bathrooms
Location: Plenty to keep you busy in Athens. We were down for a personal visit so we did not do any sight seeing. Any kind of food you want is very close by.
Saw this was a Wyndham motel and as I am a Wyndham resort owner decided to give it a try for my weekend trip. Was quite disappointed in the cleanliness of the bathroom. Had long hairs under the mat when I went to put it in the tub. Otherwise the room was fairly nice. Location was kind of hard. Located on Finley St which is not a wide street and locals were parked on both sides of the street which made manuvering kind of difficult at times. Staff were very pleasant but their appearance was not the best. Don't think I will stay here next year.

Quiet and Out-of-the-Way

Pros: The shower had great pressure and the room was very quiet.
Cons: The linens had cigarette holes in them and the toilet had a slight leak; the continental breakfast left something to be desired.
Location: The hotel is near to downtown Athens; it's a very short trip to get to the main street in spite of not actually being on it.
The staff was pleasant and polite. The bed was in a non-smoking room but there were cigarette burns on the linens; I understand that the linens can change rooms but just the same, I'm not thrilled about a bed with holes in the sheets. The continental breakfast was nothing special--it involved machines that made watery coffee and heating frozen items in the microwave--but I will say that the microwave was excellent, and there were two of them so there was no lengthy wait to use it. We did not use the pool or other amenities; we were only in town for one night and most of the next day. As a sort of base of operations for doing other things, this was a great place. It was quiet and off the main streets. I would think twice about staying here for a week, but for a weekend trip, it worked for us.

Cheap but not great stay in Athens!

Pros: The hotel was conveniently located near downtown Athens.
Cons: Many of the amenities need to be updated.
Location: Many bars and restaurants in the downtown area.
This was likely among the worst hotel experiences I have had in a long time. The hotel, while conveniently located near downtown Athens, was in need of some major upgrades. The A/C unit had to be set to 62 degrees to make the room comfortable and the refrigerator was so loud when the compressor turned on and off that it woke us multiple times during the night. The room was located on what we were informed was the quiet side of the building, but a party at the pool was so loud that we had to contact the front desk of the hotel multiple times to address the noise. Housekeeping did not clean our room on two of the days we stayed, and we had to clean an old cola spill off of the wall and back of the bathroom door to eliminate an odd smell in the room.

went to see my son play

Pros: The proximity to venues and UGA functions...
Cons: I cannot think of how to improve what is there.
Location: If I remember correctly I had to walk three blocks to the venue. on that same block are restaurants and more bars another block there is a theater.
I did not want to drive back from Athen's on the night of his gig so I stay at your hotel..just happened to be walking distance from the venue. Next day I woke up late took a bath checked out and went to get a late breakfast. I like the convenience of you hotel to the college and I make it a point to try and book ahead of time this was last minute but all the same restful for me.

Days Inn Athens, GA - Not Up to Par.

The people on staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful. The a/c in the room however, did not work - I suspect it hasn't worked in a long time since the room smelled unbearably from mildew. When I called the desk to advise them, a maintenance person appeared promptly but left without making the repair. The level of upkeep of this facility is unsatisfactory, and despite its convenient location I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
