Was not a fan at all that when I arrived to my room I found that the toilet was not flushed from the last guest. I flushed the toilet and it overflowed. After using all the towels in my room I go to use the phone to call for front office or house keeping but the phone doesn’t work. So I use the stairs (elevator didn’t work) to visit for office to see if housekeeping could clean and sanitize that bathroom. The front office worker’s response to what happened was “that sucks” and I was given extra towels, trash bags, and cleaning spray to do the work myself (have pictures as well.) For what I paid, I was not expecting to have to clock in as a custodian during my stay.

desk clerk assigned us a room where workers were installing a new AC/heat unit. Had to argue with front desk to assign us a new room. Really upsetting after being on the road for 7 hours. No breakfast available except items to buy in "gift shop".

What I enjoyed most about Candlewood was the free washer and dryer to do my laundry. I also took advantage of the exercise room.

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet
I would recommend Candlewood to anyone traveling in the Austin, TX area. You definitely get your money's worth. If you wanted to stay for several days, they have a refrigerator, stove, microwave, and whatever else you might need. They also have a place where you can purchase small items like detergent, soap, deodorant, etc.

worst room possible

they have a room that is between two public doors which means non stop door slamming and hall traffic noise at any time during the day and night....don't let them stick you with this room unless you wear earplugs.
