The check in time was 3:00. We arrived a little early and was told by the cleaning lady that we had to wait til 3 even though our room was ready. Came back around 3:15-3:20. When I tried to get into office to check in, nobody was there. They finally drove up, causing us to be late checking in. The check in person was rude, did not speak very fluent English and talked to me at one time as if I was a child. Almost left without staying. Sign on door said office hours were 7am-9pm even though I tried several times when we were there to get in but nobody was there. Was told upon check in if I needed something after hours to call 911. What if it was the dead of summer or winter and the air or heat quit working, what would 911 do? If someone is going to run a business, someone should always be in the office. Was not comfortable being there all night and no one else was there but other renters. The room was not like any I had ever stayed in before. The walls were painted the worst shade of dark lime green and bright yellow I had ever seen. It looked like a child or a blind person had done the painting. Items were not removed from the wall, just half painted over. There were paint stains on the ceilings, cabinets, door frames, window sills, carpet and whatever else was not covered. There were paint stains running down some of the baseboards and it looked like they were running low on paint and added water to it. Fridge was a drink cooler which ran loudly. Sorry wifi

Looked like they have some refurbed rooms snd some others. Since they were sold out we were in older room. Couch was filthy. Ceiling light had two burned out bulbs. Fridge had heavy rust on outside as you entered room. Room had strong odor of previous cookers. They wouldn’t take Amex even though they had a sticker saying they would. I took pictures if anybody wants to see them. Breakfast was a joke. I surely hope the hotel industry does not adopt the no service no interaction business model. But clearly hard to hire folks and it shows

The hotel was very very clean! Close to downtown Blueridge. Beds were fine. The hotel was much nicer than we expected when we saw the outside .
