The price was ok, except paying $25 per night for a tea cup little dog. He was in his cage or with us daily. I guess I missed the pet fee on the website. The toilet leaked water all over the floor when it was flushed. The manager put towels around the bottom to catch the leaking water. The refrigerator was not working. They had to bring another one. I requested a receipt when we checked out. The lady manager would not give me one. Every hotel I have ever stayed at always provide a copy with a zero balance. I would not recommend staying there.....

The hotel policy shows that any and every pet should be registered during check in, for which you failed to do so, and our fine for that is $25 per pet per day. We also give every guest their receipt during the time of check in, not during check out. We have taken measures to fix all the issues you have incurred, and thank you for your stay at the Ellijay Inn.

Overnight to North Georgia

Pros: Clean, quiet, very close to the downtown.
Cons: Oh, the mattresses weren't great. Both myself and my son were a little sore in the morning.
Location: Looks like they are trying to build up downtown Ellijay - Inn is walking distance (2 blocks) to some restaurants, ice cream shop.
I took my son on a spontaneous trip up to the North Georgia area for one night. Since it was last minute, all the state park affordable accommodations were booked, so I looked in Ellijay. The Ellijay Inn had some decent reviews and it was under $100, so sounded like a good deal for one night. I was very satisfied with this facility! We checked in Saturday, were assisted by what I assume is the proprietor's son, got the actual key to a room and was done in about 5 minutes. I had booked a non-smoking room with two double beds. I got what I requested. It was a tad small, probably would be tight quarters for more than two people or for more than 2 nights. But it was clean, smelled fine, had good TV (for my son to watch football!) and had free wi-fi (again, the boy!). The bathroom looked very clean, the Inn provided soap and shower toiletries. There was a closet with a suitcase rack and a mini fridge and microwave. Also had a coffee-maker. It did take a little bit to figure out a good air/fan combination to make the temperature comfortable. Overnight was about 65 degrees - we ended up just using the ceiling fan. Quiet accommodations, checked out around 8 in the morning - had to ring the doorbell and what I assume is the proprietor's daughter came right out to take our key. Note to self - next time I will ask what they prefer I do if I check out early - I felt bad potentially waking someone up. Overall, I do recommend for short stay, small party.
