I was impressed with my two day stay at DoubleTree by Hilton West. The employees were very accommodating. While I was having dinner at the restaurant my server Kayla was friendly and was extremely knowledgeable on the Appalachian Mountains, dogs, and medical practices. 10/10 would stay at DoubleTree. BEST BARTENDER IN THE MIDWEST

I went to check in and the staff only found on room reserved for me. I said i reserved two rooms and she said i must have read it wrong because i have two beds. I then showed her my reservation receipt and she said well we don't have you down for two rooms and said this happens all the time when using travelocity and i would not use them in future. She said well the room has two beds so that should work. I said no that will not work. Manager came over and i said i would like another room and i should him my confirmation so he asked the lady do we not have any rooms left. she said yes and he said well give them another room.

There was an area in the lobby with yellow tape for everyone to avoid tripping due the buckling of the tile. A wedding and a class reunion were held the same night with many people including small children.

everal things not good, our room telephones were not plugged in or charged, therefore we couldn’t call the front desk. When we called the font desk on our cell phone nobody would answer. The room was very warm, thermostat was on 78, when we got in there. There were no outlets to plug in our things on the whole right hand side of the room, there were no carts to put our luggage on when we arrived, at 10:00 pm. The two times we ran down to the front desk, as we couldn’t call or get an answer, we had to track someone down ourselves, to get us some help. We went to the breakfast at 10:00 am ( it was Sunday so breakfast was until 11:00 am) there was very little food left and no milk. I talked to the attendant behind the desk and she said I’d just have to tip the milk container over and try to get what was left out of it. Both the milk containers were empty! The coffee was cold, most of the bread and rolls were gone. If you say breakfast is till 11:00 than I expect to have warm food and supplies full as I am paying the same price for it as someone who arrives at 7am. We stayed at a Doubletree the night before in Sheridan, WY and it was fantastic, we had decided to stay at DoubleTree from now on and throughout our entire trip across country, but have now changed our mind.

Pullout blanket was gross. Suite was nice. Any breakfast, even the "continental" was an additional charge which I wasn't happy about.
