To be honest, even though the hotel doesn't look very good from the outside, with the exception of one problem in the room, I was impressed with the room itself, and the backdoor patio was amazing. The hotel had a problem with water in the next room, and my carpet was soaked by the front door. The manager had said something about them working on it, so I assumed it would eventually dry up. After a couple of days it got worse, so that I couldn't go to the bathroom without getting my feet wet, so I went to the owner. He was apologetic. Apparently this was a different problem from the one he had told me would be fixed, so he was unaware of it. Initially I was impressed with him. He offered to switch my room. I said it wasn't necessary since I would be leaving the next morning. He had his working in my room almost immediately and had the problem fixed within a few hours. HOWEVER, he also told me he would refund one days charge. I thanked him. A week later that charge was not reversed on my credit card. I called the hotel, and the wife promised me it would be submitted to credit card that day. A week later and it still hasn't shown up. Again, to be honest, if it wasn't for them failing in their promise, I would have given a much higher rating.
