Tandem Kayak available for floating downstream YOU/GUEST(S) back to our BnB & the only "SKY BLUE" painted floating dock (I'm pretty sure on the whole river) is NOW available for RENT with either: day, night, weekend or for your entire vacation rental stay here rates. Several fishing poles, auto fishing poles onboard, BIG night crawlers for bait in the BnB worm bed next to the pool equipment and ALL that is part of the rental thereof, aka FREE for your usage during your stay with us!

HOWEVER, and provided that you can SHOW proof of VALID/CURRENT LOUISIANA fishing license for ANY and/or ALL who plan to fish OR even hold a fishing pole or related fishing equipment! OUR local Game Warden (who you will see & he will probably stop & check during your stay if he observes anyone with a fishing pole or related equipment so be sure to have licenses on hand) OUR Game Warden is cool, but tough when it comes to being LEGAL in all aspects of fishing, boating, etc here on the river and will GLADLY issue tickets if YOU are not licensed properly. One day fishing licenses for sale at any Walmart, Sporting or Fishing store, YOU BETCHA our Game Warden here on the river WILL stop and ask to see that license or certification, even if just at the dock. So don't pick up or touch that fishing pole if not licensed to and you are golden.

As an INSURANCE REQUIREMENT in order to release the rental of the pontoon boat, NO exceptions they said! SO, ok - insurance our "renter" will have it! However, if driver of pontoon is born in 1973 (i think 73) or earlier than "grandfather" certification applies, but the STATE LAW requires proof of the certificate to be displayed or shown to any game warden or law enforcement agency when asked to show proof of course completion for ANYONE born after 1973 sitting in the driver or CAPTAINS chair!

Plus, if this is truly your first time to be the CAPTAIN of a boat - AND responsible for ALL souls taken on board the boat - then the course is imperative for you and your successful promotion to CAPTAIN of the boat. Until YOU & your guests are safely back at the dock, the CAPTAIN's word is the law & final say so for maintaining safe operations while underway. Subsequently, which is why one should always FIRST ask the CAPTAIN for "permission to come aboard, Captain?" before boarding any boat or shipping vessel that you enter!

Steel beam constructed in 1953 riverfront historic music & audio recording studio. See where Tommy McClain, Charlie Pride, Kelly Keeling and Hart Fortenbery from "Deep South Paranormal Encounters" and many more musical artists practiced and even wrote their lyrics. Private 2 bedroom getaway with "guest only keyed" access to the attached apartment. Located on the Vermilion River and perfect for fishing all day and night if it suits your stay, just have your current fishing license and we've got a juicy, fat worm bed onsite. The attached apartment consists of 2 rooms, 1 key lock master bedroom and the queen bedroom which has direct access to the driveway anso has a sliding door for privacy as well. Also, both rooms have equal access to the lockable bathroom as well as access to the main house through the lockable main house hallway door. The riverfront home is about 5 minutes from the Lafayette Regional Airport and to save you the car rental we can come get you & take ya back for your return flight. Need a lift to the local grocery store, gas station, atm or dropped off downtown for a night out--no problem we got ya covered! Stay for the week or weekend and be sure to enjoy music from the Bluetooth PA speakers by the pool or just hang out in the peace & quiet sounds of nature's best backyard and bird watching spot in Lafayette! Minutes from downtown and only 2 minutes from Lafayette Regional Hospital. The house is very spacious, super peaceful, and situated on a cul-de-sac road-so no traffic only neighbors. All pets are welcome of course, just let us know if your "pet" is friendly otherwise we can keep our 2 girls sight unseen!
NOTE: We have 2 friendly female dogs named: Muffin (the little one) and "BB" (BlackBetty - the black one) The dogs have access to the whole house and entire property for security purposes which is why we ask if you are bringing your pet with you. Friendly or not is ok as well, as we can lock our 2 away should the need or request arise. Of course, you have access to a very large fenced backyard, tree swing overlooking the pool and an outdoor fire pit with bench seating. Now, just beyond the back chainlink fence is the Vermilion River accessible via the stairs to the floating dock/boat/etc and it has plenty of catfish, bull frogs, various snakes and the occasional alligator has been seen and when too large is removed by Game Warden. The dock can be used to secure any motorized boat, kayaks, canoes for easy river access or just plain ole fishing from it. If you need anything just ask and we will get you taken care of.
