My room was 80 degrees and the hotel shuts off the air conditioning in the winter, only running heat. I turned the thermostat off and opened the window. After I returned from dinner the heat was running in my room. I called and they had to turn off the circuit breaker to my room to stop the heat from coming into my room.

Nice, but a bit pricey

Pros: Great staff, good facilities.
Cons: Travelocity could improve cost-related information: what is included and what is excluded.
Location: Just across the highway from the Short Hills Mall, but if on foot be careful crossing the highway!
My wife and I stayed at the Short Hills Hilton while visiting family in the area. The staff were all helpful and pleasant. The room was good, bathroom excellent. The exercise room is one of the best I've seen: a row each of aerobic machines and resistance machines with free weights down at the end. Indoor pool and "all that". Breakfasts were very good. However, I failed to note that breakfast was not included in the room rate, resulting in the cost of the stay being higher than I had expected.

An Oasis

The Short Hills Hilton is close to everything...and yet you feel as though you are in the middle of an oasis away from the hustle and bustle. The check-in is a snap, the hotel is immaculately clean, the sheets, duvet and pillows are divine and the room is very comfortable. The lounge is a real plus to grab a glass of wine before heading off to bed for a much needed (and very comfortable) night's sleep.
