Property was excellent. We had a room closer to a fairly busy intersection and never noticed any noise at all. Close to everything and far enough to be away from the congestion. Breakfast was excellent every morning. We ate dinner twice at the restaurant- 5 stars both times. Highly recommend. Will stay again!

We are delighted your enjoyed every aspect of your recent visit. Our casita units are very sound proof and are our most popular room types with our returning guests! We hope to see you again in the future.

Best for comfort, location, amenities

Pros: Kind staff Large king room with balcony Tasteful decor Location
Cons: Nothing
Location: Around the corner from Canyon Road, and 1/2 mile from The Plaza and Governor’s palace. All of historic Santa Fe & shopping within easy walking.
Wonderful spring trip. The Inn was all we could hope for. Friendly staff, delicious breakfast, welcoming wine and cheese hour, free Wall Street journal, spacious room with a balcony. The inn is like an old fashioned lodge southwest style. The decor and furnishings are Santa Fe, old fashioned, and tasteful. We were very pleased with our 4-night stay.

Can't go wrong- warm, wonderful and yummy cookies!

Pros: We loved the fireplace in our room and the big breakfasts, cookies etc. The architecture is pretty too and a great location.
Cons: I really have no complaints. They do a seamless job.
Location: Its about a block from Canyon Road and a short walk to the city center. There is a fantastic Mexican restaurant, Mucho Gusto that is nearby.
This was our first time traveling to Santa Fe and I read zillions of reviews before settling on this hotel. We were very happy with our choice and I am not sure we have stayed in a more hospitable hotel. The breakfast, happy hour and evening cookies are so well done and such a nice touch. We had a room with a king-size bed and fireplace. It was very clean, nice linens, and had a huge armoire which was very functional to put our clothes away in. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was huge and very good consisting of scrambled eggs, pastries, ham, sausage, cereals, toasts, oatmeal, potatoes, pinto beans and a new mexican specialty like breakfast burrito or enchiladas. There was coffee, teas, almond milk, regular milk. They even had gluten free pastries. Happy hour included a nice selection of wines and some cheeses, olives and marinated carrots. Our favorite were the cookies! The first night they were chocolate chip, the second brownies, the third the cookie monster ate them all before we could get to them and the fourth night they were oatmeal raisin but like none other than you have had! This is a special place. It is not generic and you don't feel anonymous. I am not sure how you could go wrong here.

Love this place!

Pros: Great location within easy walking distance to the Plaza. Nice accommodations. Great breakfast served every morning.
Location: Located only a few blocks from both Canyon Road and the downtown plaza. We’d stay there again.
All the staff was engaged and attentive. The hotel has charm with it’s Kiva fireplaces, rocking chairs, SW decor.

Great stay in Santa Fe

The Inn on the Alameda was a pleasure. The rooms had everything you needed. The beds were comfortable and the 4:00 pm Wine and Cheese party was just what we needed after a day of shopping and eating. Also the breakfast was good and well done. Although some walks were a bit long, everything in downtown Santa Fe was within walking distance. This is a major advantage since parking in Santa Fe is tough to find.

Wonderful

We stayed in a Casita and it was excellent. The service and the rooms were wonderful. Our favorite place in Santa Fe. Within walking distance to everything and it has free parking. Truly an enjoyable experience, I would recommend a fireplace, they supply the pinion pine. Their food is wonderful and so is the Happy Hour. Enjoy!

A bit small but very nice

The breakfast buffet is very good, although it was never on time starting and the afternoon wine and cheese is a welcome event for a little socializing. The room, a king, was a bit small as was the bathroom. We travel frequently and are used to Hampton/Fairfield/Country and Holiday Inn Express type motels. These have larger rooms and much more comfortable beds. However, this is Santa Fe and you are close to the Plaza and Canyon Road. Overall we enjoyed the stay and the staff was very good.

Another option for "The Plaza

We are constantly struggling to find a hotel in the Plaza area that is affordable or at least worth what we are paying. We have not always been successful. The Inn on the Alameda is one of the best so far. It was early Spring and the rates were a bit lower than high season. The Traditional room was comfortable and quiet, if a bit small. The bathroom could use some minor repairs (cracked tiles and missing grout) and as with most hotel rooms, the room could use more light and a ceiling fan to circulate air and limit the use of the A/C.\n\nThe hotel grounds were well kept and all employees we encountered were friendly and helpful. We loved the wine and cheese afternoon activity. Although we didn't take full advantage of the breakfast buffet, we did noticed a nice variety of foods available. We sampled the pastries which were absolutely wonderful!\n\nWe will stay here again if we can get a comparable rate.

Pricey and Worth It

We have stayed here again and again for years. It's not cheap but its location, amenity and consistency make it worth the money. The included breakfast is terrific. The afternoon wine and cheese is a nice treat. There are two Jacuzzis which are well maintained. The rooms are spacious and the beds are supremely comfortable. We have only stayed in the "standard" rooms and have found them luxurious. When we win the lottery, we'll switch to the deluxe rooms.
