Thank you so much for your feedback! Providing the highest level of hospitality is our number one priority and we sincerely apologize for any discomfort or inconvenience this situation has caused. The safety and security of you our guest is our first priority and that starts in the guest’s room. We thank you for alerting us about the alleged situation right away so that we could react quickly. Being on the beach and surrounded by nature there are various insects which can cause this problem. To address this issue, we mandate an aggressive pest control policy inside as well as outside. This policy includes regularly scheduled inspections and, if necessary, elimination protocols. We have implemented a thorough training program for our housekeeping and maintenance personnel to assist in the early recognition. These standard procedures also require a suspected room be quarantined until a thorough inspection by a licensed pest control company is performed. Following an inspection by our trained staff, we report back to the guest our findings and update them as to our next steps. The room is placed out of order pending the inspection of our licensed pest control company. We will also share the inspection report with you our guest as soon as it is received. Those are not the memories we wanted you to leave the beautiful and tranquil Island of Sand Key with and we do hope you will return when your travels next bring you back to the Clearwater Beach area.

Providing the highest level of hospitality is our number one priority and we sincerely apologize for falling short of meeting your expectations. True the beach is a bit of a walk and I can empathize with you completely; when the hotel was built the beach was much closer to the hotel actually right up to the break wall, you could easily see the water from you room. Then between Mother Nature and the Sand Key jetty being built, the sand has been washed in a southerly direction over the years which has caused a very wide beach. We do understand the distance can be an inconvenience which is the reason we have added a 6 person complementary beach shuttle to get you back and forth to the beach whenever needed. I would like to add that the condition of the cleanliness of your room was not the level of the Sheraton brand service that you were intended to experience. This has been reviewed by the Director of Housekeeping and has been addressed as a teachable moment with the associate assigned to clean your room. We hope that there were some positive memories made that will bring you back to the Clearwater Beach area.
