great location and I know of how good it was or could be but :1) I was in a rush to book and I don't know if I didn't see that the hotel was being renovated and the grounds around it being dug up. I knew some of it but only found out after I got confirmation. 2) normally this wouldn't be a big deal to me as the "deal" when I clicked on it was good enough. listed at 130ish dollars but when I went to check in, it was 180 or 189. Being christmas and on a schedule of happiness, I didn't want to pursue or argue at that point. BUT, since you asked.... :)

Superb staff. Everyone top notch. Particularly wish to compliment dining room staff, especially manager Frances.. Hotel is undergoing reconstruction of part of building and harbourside park in front is being rehabilitated which hotel needs to make clear to guests as there is some disruption of usual Laurel Point plan.

Our favorite hotel

Location: We had relatives to visit so mainly used the many restaurants that are now located within easy walking distance enjoying shops and viewing gardens.
We've stayed here before and keep coming back. We like the location, the comfortable rooms, the views and the staff.

Very nice hotel

Stayed 2 nights with the family. Room featured nice TV and fridge. Double beds seemed small. Very clean. Beautiful grounds and good location accessible to all sights. A little off the main strip which was nice. Would definitely visit again.

Will book again

Overall our stay was pleasant and for the price, we will stay here again. Below are the pros and cons: Pros: Nice staff, Aveda toilettories, comfortable bed, fantastic view especially with the Christmas lights, Mighty Leaf teas, the Coho ferry passes by every morning and sounds the horn, right by the water for nice morning walks, showers were hot with good water pressure Cons: The heater rattled a bit, walls are thin ( we had what must be ADHD children next door and that was not the hotel's fault), parking required an extra charge which we knew about, the restaurant was very much over priced

Hotel infrastructure feels old

Pros: Free Internet, Quiet
Hotel's infrastructure (e.g. elevator) feels old and desperately needs upgrade. Other than that, it is not a bad night's stay.
